Did you compare it to a live working XDA IQ or just the settings on a link I posted? I'll have a hunt on the internet for a cab, I had real trouble with the Orange Settings as they were all old grr! I have one idea though, why dont you apply the O2 rom for the IQ on your C600? It will work fine seeing as there both tornado's and the settings should be preinstalled! Then extract the settings and reapply your current rom? Just an idea. could do if i get my hands on the rom.anyone know where? |

Hey, did you look in the smartphone settings repository? Also O2 released a C600 with Music buttons so its just the C600 in a grey C550 shell, and also the xda iq was the SP5 which was also a Tornado so it should definetly work on O2 network. Also this thread should help. http://www.modaco.com/O2-Settings-UK-t243201.html Ive tried them, also the settings for the the xda iq which is supposed to be the same but still no joy. If anyone is using a C600 on O2 please get in touch.thanks |

Ive just switched from orange to O2 using my (t)rusty C600. Does anyone have the setting for GPRS to use a C600 on O2? The CS guy was a bit puzzled about what phone I was using so Im hoping he might be wrong when he said its not compatible. If anyones using a C600 on O2 can you get back to me please? Thanks |

I bought a copy of smartweaker through the modaco shop quite a few months ago. I recently updated my ROM and wiped the phone as it does but forgot I needed the registration key when I wanted to reinstall it. Is there any way of confirming that I have bought it and get my/another registration key ? Cheers |

Recently bought a Mac and I have a PC as well. For me its fairly simple Business and gaming is Windows, fun and creativity is Mac. For some reason just looking at a Mac gives me more ideas for music whereas Windows reminds me that PC games are cool and my accounts need updating. Windows will be the primary target for virus writers because its the OS of choice for business up to now. More machines to infect easily . My two penneths worth is that your average bod doesnt buy a Mac and sticks with a PC because theyve heard that lots of software isnt available for it thats on Windows (99% of people wouldnt be interested in this software anyway as its usuall for business users not home users). I like my Mac more but that doesnt mean I hate my PC. Horses for courses, some people just know a bit more about what the horses can and cant do.............. |

I pay my Orange bill like most people by Direct Debit. My bill for the 1st December 2006 of £38.80 was refused as there wasnt enough money in my account, my fault entirely. I paid the outstanding bill on the 6th over the phone via the automated service. I thought everything had been cleared up. How wrong I was. Everything was fine until the 19th December when Orange barred my phone. Strange I thought so I called them up and was told that as I had used the automated service to clear the outstanding bill that the barring system had skipped the payment and had barred my phone for not paying the bill. The CS guy said "Dont worry this happens quite often and we know that you have paid the bill its just a system error. We'll send you an update to unbar the phone " . I asked him if the Direct Debit for £38.80 would be applied for again and was told " No,we know the payment has been made so dont worry it wont be applied for again" Great I thought, glad its been cleared up. Errr wrong again. Today they barred my phone again and I also received a letter from them stating that they had tried to apply for the bill of £38.80 for a second time and it had been refused. It also stated that the Direct Debit has been cancelled. I phoned them again, explained what had happened. The phone has again been unbarred. I asked him if the Direct Debit has definitely been cancelled , he said "Yes, its been cancelled" .I called again just to get a confirmation from someone else in CS that it had been cancelled and he said yes as well. I also asked him to put a note on my account saying that I wasnt prepared to pay any more bills until this has been resolved as I will now be charged by my bank for the rejected payment . Just to make 100% sure I called my bank to confirm that Orange had tried to take the £38.80 payment for a 2nd time and she said " Yes they tried on the 14th Dec but it was refused due to insufficient funds" I also asked if the Direct Debit had been cancelled " No the Direct Debit for Orange is still active ". She cancelled it there and then for me. Im pretty annoyed to say the least after being barred when Ive paid the bill and then Orange applying for the amount a second time and it being refused, landing me with a £40 charge from my bank. What I would like to know is where I stand with regards to claiming back the bank charges from Orange as they have wrongly apllied for the amount and where I stand with regards to cancelling my contract with Orange. I have the address for Customer Correspondence in Bristol .If anyone has any experience of what to write to get this sorted or where I stand on cancelling my contract and getting my bank charges back please get in touch as Im sick of Oranges half arsed service. Thanks |

Dont know if this is new news or not but an Orange CS lady told me that as of Dec 1 they will be switching the billing system/minutes balance so you can see how many minutes, texts, landline calls etc you have used . I had a Racoon package for a start, 100 any network minutes and I think 150 landline minutes. I was only able to check the any network minutes and had to guess the rest. Ive now changed to Canary, 200 any network minutes,75 texts and so many off peak minutes and Im only able to check the balance of the off peak minutes !! I was told the only way is to use the call counters in the phone to check what Ive used!! The lady was really helpful and was a bit embarressed on Oranges behalf on their lack of basic services ,like a minutes balance check. If Orange dont get something like this in place then its another reason to change carrier at the end of my contract. Do any of the other carriers have this in place already? |

On Orange with a C600, only 2 months in to a 12 month contract. Phones great as it was free, CS is terrible to get through to. Im on one of their stupid arse animal plans for 25 quid a month. Got to upgrade to 30 quid as the minutes that are free arent enough , no free texts and I have to pay an extra 4 quid to get a poxy 4mb data package. If I decide to stay in the country I'll be off like a shot...... |

ISTR seeing somewhere that the computer dials say 100 people at once, and as soon as all telesales people are connected, say 20 of them, the computer cuts off the other 80. Horrible! Yep, I was having this from some phone company, cant remember who it was. I called the 0800 number back and got through to some guy in "business sales" or something and explained to him that I was getting these "ghost" calls from his company. He half heartedly tried to pitch me as he wasnt really that bothered with me as I wouldnt get him any commission but when I cut in with "Im only 1 month into my contract ,can you get me out of it?" he took my phone number and put it through the system to not get called again. Havent had a call from them since.... might do again in 11 months time though |

If you dont have any noticeable issues with the phone its best to leave it. I know its tempting to try new ROMs etc but they do have a downside, sometimes its better just to stick with the devil you know |

Also does anyone know if its possible to alter the colours on the 'Home Page setting' there are 3 defaults, Orange, a horrible grey colour and a red one. I think they all make the phone look really garish. Loved the blue of my C550. There are only 3 schemes by default. You can make your own by using Madbeetles homescreen builder >>>>CLICK ME<<<< scroll down and look for the "links" then "homescreen builder" |

I have installed the new C600 rom update. It has not fixed the scroll bar issue in contacts. Why not? Also when you use the device lock you have to use a mimimun of a 4 number password, previously it was only 1 number. Again Why? What was your issue with the scroll bar in Contacts? |

Ive tried File Factory but whenever I use a link to a download it seems to be giving anyone access to my account. (i.e they click the download link and it takes them into my account.) I must be doing something wrong but cant figure ut what |

Hi even if you can use a registry editor (mobileregistryeditor or totalcommander for example), needed registry keys are locked and cannot be changed. Well thats me out, dont think I'll be bothering as I dont have any radio or joystick issues that are making my phone unuseable. Remember kids flashings a pastime that has its consequences..... |

I had a quick serch through this forum and didnt find anythnig simialr to this so apologies if its a regular problem. I got my White C600 a few weeks and whislt I like it very much it seems to have a few usability issues. The main one is when I switch between ringing profiles such as Normal and Meeting. I can switch to meeting and the Meeting indicator doesnt appear, though the tick is against meeting. I can switch back and forth but it does nothing then the indicator will appear. Then I try to switch back to normal it stays in meeting mode even though its set to Normal. Even switching on and off doesnt always sort it. Any clues or tips? Cheers guys. White C600 where did you get that? |

Yeh bluetooth allows more than one device in use at time. Loadsa people use tomtom and a bt headset at the same time. Sam Cheers guys, I suppose its a bit of "try it and see" with regards to performance/lag but as long as BT can support two devices at once I'll give it a go. |
