QUOTE(graemem @ Jul 9 2007, 21:53) *
Hi,

My wife keeps killing Orange M600s, it looks like she lets the battery go so flat the phone will not recharge them. The charger has been tested and it will charge a couple of Motorolas so it looks alight.

She has just killer her third unit and I lent her my 3 month old M700, guess what, she's done the same to that. The battery was not quite dead, the phone would just about boot up before shutting itself down again.

The usual symptoms are the the phone is dead, no light come up when plugged into a wall or car charger, or into a PC with a usb lead.

If I can't fix this its going to be embarasing to have to go to Orange with two dead phones with the same symptoms at the same time, but I can't figure out what she is doing to kill the phones.

All the phones had their original battery.

Try plugging them in and booting up the phone a couple of times, Ive had this with both the M600 And my O2 Orbit. use the wall charger tho as the USB and Car charger just trickle charges them. Hope this helps, Oh buy ya wife a Nokia ;-)

Gonna get one as its cheaper than a personal digital radio for when Im out n about. Plus if you top-up with £20 Virgin will send you the unlock code. so you get plenty of time to watch TV n impress ya mates.I talked a friend into buying one so I could take a look.Very nice well built piece of kit to be honest.

I think its a steal at that price so Off I go to purchase 1.

You should be ok, Ive dropped plenty of phones covered by O care and had them all replaced. they'll ask you a load of Q's 1st tho, Hint dont say it was in your top pocket. I told them they just slipped out of my hand as I tried to open my car door ;-) or lock it, I also mentioned I had a car mount and silicone/leather cases and apart from the obvious damage the phone 'was' in great condition.

Hope this helps your plight dude ;-)

I had this exact same problem on my M3100.
The battery simply wouldn't charge with Mobile Shell installed.
I thought the phone was dodgy and got Orange to swap it, as it was just 5 days old.
The replacement was just the same, so I've uninstalled Mobile Shell now.
Shame, cos it's great.

Martin

Thank god for that. I thought I was going MAD!!!

Sorry if this is old hat, but I can't find any threads with required M600 information

Just obtained the M600, and wondered if any sim unlock free programs available.

If not are there any commercial sites which are reliable at sim unlocking the M600.

Thanks,

Rannoch

Send me a PM mate and I'll save you the hassle of trowling through another forums threads for a 1 file that'll hopefully sim unlock your M600, Be warned it does involve a hard reset 1st ;-)

Hi Paul thanks for the heads up on this. I dont suppose youve got a size comparison shot against the SPV M600. Im due an upgrade shortly and am considering leaving Orange But I love the size of the M600.

It could make all the difference between an Orange M700 and the Eten M700 maybe.

Cheers mate ;-)
