Hi all,

I've had an i600 for a while now (UK purchased, FW: i600XXGD1). The phone went to repair with Samsung, and since it's come back, none of the options I select are recognised on automated systems such as voicemail and support lines. I figure it has something to do with no DTMF tones being sent, but I can't find an option on the device to change this. Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers,
J

Interesting....

Check this out: http://www.coolsmartphone.com/news3476.html

I have heard a few rumours that this is the case - Windows Mobile 6 will not be made available for the i600 in the UK at all.

Devastated.... sad.gif

Got it working. I uninstalled both ActiveSync and the Toshiba Bluetooth stack, restarted my machine and deleted all pairings within Activesync on the phone. I then reinstalled ActiveSync (v4.5), and installed BlueSoleil (http://www.bluesoleil.com/download/index.asp?topic=bluesoleil_edr_en - great little application!). In BlueSoleil (with the bluetooth dongle inserted), check My Services>Properties, and note the port number for COM A - it was COM10 on mine. Make sure connections via this port are enabled in the ActiveSync connection settings. Now just select Connect Via Bluetooth on the phone's ActiveSync, and a partnership should be set up. Worked for me!

Thanks for the reply - the device is set to discoverable, and I can pair the devices (and also transfer files between the two) with no problems. Like I said, if anyone on here has this working, could you provide me with a step-by-step guide to setting this up? Thanks for all your help!

Hi all, hope you can help as this is driving me up the wall...

I'm currently using a Samsung i600 (WM5) to sync with Outlook 2003 on Windows XP (SP2).
Using USB, this works a treat and I have no issues, however I've not once managed to Sync via Bluetooth.
I've tried using both the Microsoft Stack supplied with Windows and the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack - I've managed to use these fine for other Bluetooth applications.

I have set up an incoming COM port (COM8) in the Bluetooth software, and have allowed incoming connections via this in ActiveSync. I also have the devices paired. When selecting 'Connect via Bluetooth' ActiveSync on the phone either cannot open the port or cannot detect a BT enabled PC that supports ActiveSync! What am I doing wrong?

If someone could provide a step-by-step guide of how to set this up, or even any advice about alternative Bluetooth Stacks etc, I'd be eternally grateful!

Thanks,
J

Hi all,

I've just today come into possession of an i320 - quite impressed with it, and I'd like to set it up to syncronise with my office's Exchange Server. The laptops we use at work however are set up via a VPN (a PPTP VPN I'm led to believe). Firstly, is it possible to sync with my server this way, and if so, how would I go about it? I will be obtaining the relevant settings tomorrow - it seems fairly obvious how to enter the Exchange settings and also the VPN settings, but will these just automatically work in conjunction? Any advice would be much appreciated!

QUOTE(sekhar_sarma @ Jul 14 2007, 04:55) *
I talked to Samsung cust service in UK. They say that new flash version might solve issue. i600XXGC4 is mine now. They recommend changing it to D instaed of C. But I dont know how to get that now.

SS - if you call Samsung's repair centre in the UK, they can arrange to upgrade the software for you. Call them on 01295662113.

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there is a method for formatting a micro SD card via the options on the phone, ie. if you are not near a PC? I haven't been able to find anything on this, and suspect you can only do this via My Computer and the Mass Storage option on a PC. Can anyone help?

Cheers.
