Wearthefoxhat - I wasn't using a windows live program, but I was having to use the 'setup new account' tab on the email, after which I was directed through a link to IE and had to sign in to hotmail each time...... Now, Thanks a lot Kevin, I have installed the Windows Live program, and my emails sync directly to my inbox on command without having to sign in each time, or go through the browser. Is this a common complaint with WM6 then? Thanks again guys, I'm happy that this has been resolved! I don't think it is a huge problem, as I don't think many of the users are on Hotmail. But it certainly bugged me! Glad you are good to go. |

Hi there, Apologies for what may be a basic enquiry, though I can find no answers through searching the forum. I hope you can help.... I used to have a Vario I, and was able to sign in with my hotmail details just once - after which I needed only press 'send/receive emails' to sync my inbox. I've just got myself a Vario III, but am having trouble setting up my email to do the same. I have to enter my username, password and email address each time. When I go through the Messaging menu I also have to click 'setup new account' each time, as it doesn't store my details. Is this how I must check my hotmail, via windows live in the web browser, or is there a way to download the messages like I used to? Thankyou! Vario I had WM5? If so, then MS took off the windows Live application from WM6 I have placed a cab file I got from xda-devs on my shared files: http://www.4shared.com/file/40410320/43313...rified=165ea9ff |

Courtesy of Olipro @ xda-devs, CID and SIM unlocking for the P6500! http://hpcmonex.net/olipro/sednaunlocker.php I've tried it, it works, only £5, BARGAIN. AFAIK no one else can do this yet, and certainly not at the price, so might be usefull for all those flogging their upgrades on eBay... M.S Which handset is the p6500? |

My TytnII does seem sluggish now after the flash, I flashed the new rom the first day it was out and now the screen doesn't seem to respond every time I tap one it( it just did it again when I used apptodate) and the ok button doesn't work everytime, I was just ignoring it until it was mentioned here, now I see others have the ok button problem. Other than that it seem to work good. Did you Hard Reset after the flash? It has been reccommended to always do so. |

Well, is there anyone that is happy with the update? I am happy with TLR's last release, and I'm thinking that maybe I should hold off on this update? Seems a little buggy? - Kevin |

My old 2125 used to create timestampted folders that the photos would sit in. would be nice to have this happen, or at least have the photo name time stamped. Anyone else thought of this? I am a lazy dolt. I found in the advanced menu where to date/time stamp the files! |

Do you mean time, date or name of when the photo was taken? I mean naming the photo with the date/time. Or alternativly, creating a separate folder for each day and have that be the save location. Like I said, my cingular 2125(Tornado/Typhoon?) had this built into the OS of WM5. I just think this would help in sorting all of the pictures taken. I do use the HTC album, but I would just like a little help when navigating in the file explorer. |

If you have the FTouchFlo installed then the Align Screen setup will not work. I have this problem and have to soft reset the phone to get out of it. If you remove the FTouchFlo program then Align Screen will start working again (For me anyways) M_Taylor40 Thank you for this. I do indeed have fTouchFlo installed, not running by default, but I guess I have always had it running when I tried this. Thanks again! |

I think I found something with this ROM. My align screen no longer responds to presses! I am wondering if a hard reset is necessary(again), because seems like the alignment is off? I first noticed this last week when I was having trouble dropping down the task manager in the upper right screen. I thought it was the screen protector that was peeling off, but now that I cannot even align the screen, I wonder... Anybody else have this issue with (this) ROM? I am not sure if it something else interfering or not... - TIA |

Hi I'm new to the forum and am starting off with a multi-question post, so hopefully that's well received. I've just picked up a HTC Tilt on the AT&T plan and am just trying to get things set up the way I want them. I've been struggling with a couple of things and was hoping somebody here might help me out. If there are apps required, I always prefer freeware but am open to shelling out some cash for a good app that come highly recommended. Problem 1) The AT&T guy copied my contacts from my old CDMA phone to the Sim on my tilt, result, all messed up as it only copied one number, and not always the right one. What I want to do is delete all of the contacts from the Sim but have been unable to find anything that lets me do this. I need an app like bitpim to allow me to access these contacts from my PC so I can take them out and replace them with the correct numbers, probably through syncing with Outlook. Problem 2) I have my device synced to Outlook, which is working fine. I access my e-mails from a POP box. I can set up an account on my tilt to access my e-mails but it stores them in a separate set of folders until I d/l onto my PC. Then when I sync the Tilt they show up in my Outlook folders on the Tilt. The big issue is that my 'sent' emails from my Tilt e-mail don't get transferred across to the Outlook folders and I can't work out how to do this. Maybe there's a better e-mail app for the tilt? Question 3) Is there a decent 'Golf Course' GPS package for WM? Something like SkyCaddie but for the Pocket PC? Question 4) What's the best 'device management' app out there? I don't mind paying. Maybe it's something that can solve the above two problems also? Thanks in advance for the help. Cheers Richie 1. There is an app out there called SIM2Copy~ or somehting like that, which allows copying to and from the SIM card. My suggestion would be to sync up your contacts with outlook, and then delete them from your phone. I don't know if a was to do it en mass, but I am sure you could google it. 2. If this is a Domain based email account, there should be a option to leave a copy of the messages on the server, so that your desktop would retrieve a copy as well. I think your sent items would follow suit, but I have not had Domain based emails in a while. You also should also be able to select Menu>Tools>Manage Folders>, and syc your folders by checking the box. 3. I am not a game guy 4. Not sure what you mean? Like Windows Device Manager? - Kevin |

Hey guys, I've been using a Martin Fields screen protector with my M3100 but today my TyTn II arrived and I noticed there is a screen protector in the box. I'm just wondering if anyone here is using it and could share some thoughts on it as to whether or not it's any good, reliable etc. Cheers It's as good as any I guess. I seem to be pretty hard on them. Lasted me a few months. |

I'm thinking of flashing this on my new Kaiser, but before I do, I was wondering whether you lovely people on here can answer a few questions for me. Do I gain much over the stock T-Mobile UK rom? Will it have any problems with any software (I know about the skype thing, does Fring work?) The main software I'll be using is Coreplayer, GSPlayer, PocketPutty, Windows Live Search Mobile, Funambol Connector. If all this is fine, I'll be flashing it. Cannot comment on the TMobile ROM, but I wanted to inquire about coreplayer. Are you asking about the true coreplayer, or TCPMP? If the ladder, there is a specific build put up over at xda developers that works with Win 6.1 ROMs. The TCPMP that I had working on my WM 6.0 ROM did not work. WLS works fine. |

Well I flashed Saturday, and I must say, it seems nice! One thing that I am experiencing, is that GMail doesn't like to collect on my data connection, but works over WiFi? Strange. I remember someone else with this issue? Well I found the solution as to why my gmail only collected over WiFi. It was because in the advanced server settings of the email account in the mail app, I had connect through the internet. Changed it to media-net, and all started working. I hope someone finds this usefull. |

Okay, this is one of those really stupid questions that I should have asked/read about in the manual a long time ago, but, I didn't, I don't know the answer, and it's really bugging me now. Here goes: most of the time my Kaiser is in standby, it wakes up when I have a call coming in or some other notification etc, just as you'd expect. That's fine. The problem is, once it's woken up like that, it remains woken for the next couple of minutes until it goes back to sleep. That can be a problem if it's in my pocket, where its screen can be touched, and it can start sending rude messages to my boss or whatever without me knowing about it. So the simple, stupid question is this - how do I make sure the screen and buttons are locked when it brings itself out of standby like this? There doesn't seem to be any setting in WM itself that will do this, which surprises me. I guess there might be something third party, but what do people recommend? I'd rather it wasn't locked all the time - eg, if I press the on button to bring it out of standby myself, I don't then want to faff around unlocking the screen as well. I know this is probably a daft, newbie, question... just hoping someone will be kind... Well a simple solution would be to press the side button to put it to sleep. easy enough, right? |

Well i quite like it and have not had many problems (far less infact than I had with the default rom!). The only real problem I seem to be getting is Dashwire throwing error messages at me and refusing to work, not sure if thats a rom issue or not though. As for my gmail, set the account up with auto settings and all is working fine. Also have my google calendar synced through Goosync and thats functioning fine too. Overall, Im very pleased and would recommend the rom, stil get those annoying random crashes but is happening far less often than it used too. Thanks for the reply. Can I ask what ROM you had as you default? Are the carrier settings stored in the SIM card? I am just fearing that this ROM may not automatically setup(the phone). With my Tilt ROM, I never had any crashes. It would very occationally lock up, but I attributed that to me having too many applications open(TomTom, Live Search, Contacts, email, etc...). I have had it on the shipped ROM since I bought it and although I don't like the idea of re-loading all of my apps, it time to either do the tilt ROM upgrade without the extra apps(bloat), or this ROM... What say ye? |

I finally got fed up of the constant crashes and my alarm not going off as a result so decided to hard reset and flash. Am impressed what I’ve seen so far and haven’t had any problems whatsoever. Am still getting those damn crashes though, maybe its SPB Pocket Plus or something cus I use the generic alarm. Need to invest in an alarm clock I think, gutted. So what is the verdict on this ROM? initially everyone seemed pleased, but I am also hearing some weirdness? Paul, I know you have had no troubles. Anyone using a ATT handset with this ROM, without issue? |

they do allow you to send a text but you must be a subscriber to the phone service so it more like whats the point http://www.wireless.att.com/answer-center/...utionId=KB74456 http://www.wireless.att.com/answer-center/...utionId=KB63037 I do have a text plan(thown in, cause I would never use it), but I have my phone receiving alerts from my office SQL server working fine. The instruction from that ATT link you posted are using a diferent domain than what is suggested in the original post. How bout you give it a try? |
