Two points: Is the 65,536 colours for the screen enough? Years ago, SonyEricsson began to put 262k+ colour screens in there devices (e.g. SonyEricsson K750i), and my parents have a Nokia 6300 which has a 16,000,000+ colour screen. Secondly, especially after Paul's MWg news, I reckon that the Titanium/Raphael could well have Windows Mobile 7. Perhaps this one of the reasons they haven't announced it yet. |

I don't think I've seen anyone defend HTC and say that they're not fussed that the Touch Diamond does not have a MicroSD slot, so I will. HTC, for me, your 4GB internal storage is plenty so thankyou for that, and I'd rather that than a MicroSD card slot [as long as when you connect to the computer you can choose whether or not to charge the phone - I look after my batteries by charging them carefully. But even then I only occasionally transfer data between the two]. And I don't mind you removing the camera button (as long as there is one-touch/two RAPID touch access to the camera). Now please give me a HTC Titanium because I'm not buying a Diamond. Thankyou. |

Agreed. I'm waiting for the Touch Diamond Pro and Touch Diamond Dual (i'm gonna call them that whatever the proper names are, if they named it anything else they were smoking crack at the time) How about... HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Touch DD (Dual Diamond), and HTC Touch Cruise Diamond? Or... HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Touch Dual 2, and Touch Cruise 2. (I really don't like the "Pro" bit) |

Hi Paul.. You probably allready know my question, but please ask it anyway, because I´m probably not the only one interested. When will HTC release a smartphone (non-professional) and without QWERTY, but with the plain old keyboard? (Like a HTC Typhoon 2008/9-version) A handy candybar phone with decent stand by time, wifi etc etc etc. /J Actually, I might add my tuppence worth here. The same, is what I'm waiting for... I have an Orange SPV C500 which I LOVE(!), and have never thought of getting a PDA as that's not what I'm looking for. But since the Touch Dual came out, I'm happy to go for that one, but I want something revolutionary when compared to mine, so WiFi and GPS are now, a must. The Orange SPV E650 could have fit the bill, had it not got a QWERTY keyboard (why does a smartphone have one anyway?). And actually, the C500 was advertised as "the world's smallest smartphone". Does it still hold this record? I mean, what's with making the fatter "smartphones" (with these slide-out keyboard)? However, my phone must have a keyboard, I don't want a phone without a keyboard! And I want a normal 1-9 one (however I'm willing to go for one of these SureType ones as all reviewers seem to endorse them). At the moment, then, it looks like the HTC Titanium will hopefully be my next phone (if it's not too expensive... :s), and boy willl I have waited a very, very long time for it. |

Why does it look so weird and nobly on the back... I think it looks quite good actually, plus it would make sense as it looks like a "Diamond", and I'm sure it's wouldn't be a problem to hold. My problem is those touch-sensitive keys. I'm not fond of them... They are normally easily accidentally pressed (touched, rather) and more annoying than purposeful. |

I was just wondering if there was a way to create a new text message folder i get alot of joke messages that id like to keep in a jokes folder so i dont have to troll through my messages to find them. any idea's? On my Orange SPV C500, I move them into the Outbox so that I can find them, and then Forward them from there. |

Will eGPS let me run a gps program like TomTom? If not, then it's not worth a dime. Also, is eGPS something that is free like normal GPS or is it something your service provider is going to make you pay extra for? I mean, I'm willing to wait 30 seconds to get a GPS fix since it's free. http://www.csr.com/egps/technology.htm |

It sounds like you haven't successfully managed to hard-reset the device? This will Hard Reset your phone: You may like to try going to Start>Accessories>Clear Storage - this will hard reset your phone. |

I can't find anything (I didn't really expect that I would because I know the file system quite well already), that even hints to me that it's the counter :s |

Its possible theres a counter file on your phone somewhere thats recording the image number you're up to (i vaguely remember possibly seeing something like this? maybe?). Have a hunt around and see if theres anything viable... As for the bluetooth devices theres no way i know of to back those up. I did actually suspect the counter would be in the registry... but looked through that and found nothing. In the 'normal files' I searched for the word 'counter' because I remember seeing file(s) of that name - turns out it's an ActiveSync file. I'll keep looking for any other files on my phone... please keep replying with any advice anyone |

Hello, I'm thinking of hard-reset for my phone (Orange SPV C500), just to freshen it up, and I'm just wondering how to change the number the camera takes photos - for example, it's on about 500, and I don't want it to start taking photos and storing them from the number Image_001 again, I'd like to change th number back. And also, how can I keep the Bluetooth bonded names that are already saved on the phone. Thankyou! |

Personally, if it was me, I would try a hard reset on the phone, just in case the problem was software-related. |

thanks for your reply. im guessing these phones have different names in america to the ones here in the uk. do you have any pictures of them or additional info so that i can have a look at what they are like? Gosh my phone path has been so much like yours - had a 3210e, then 3310e, then a Panasonic GD87e (flip phone), then an Orange SPV E200, and now the C500. However, in case I ever had any problems like you're having at the moment, I bought another just in case...! At the moment, I would go for the PAYG (because I'm on PAYG) HTC S310. |

The HTC S310 (HTC Oxygen, also known as Orange SPV C100, but sold as HTC S310) is available here for £139.99 + £10 top-up from an Orange shop, on pay as you go. And, they have them in stock because a member of staff brought one out, switched it on etc. |

Plastic base? You mean the bottom bit? Let's split the whole phone into four parts: the front, the top bit at the back, the bottom removable cover at the back, and the silver border around the side of the phone. Do you mean the front face is plastic with a paint that has aluminium in it? Or is it three layers, plastic + aluminium + paint? It feels like the other three parts are just plastic, is that right? Thanks for your reply |

Just wondering what the SPV C500 front facia is made out of. I'm positive it must be some sort of metal, as you can feel electricity when the phone's charging. |

This kind of happened with my SPV E200 - do a hard reset, and make sure your phone is plugged in at mains when doing this, and you will also lose all your data on your phone i.e. it will return to how it was when you bought it. |

It's also shown at about £129.99 (PAYG) I think, including £10 credit. Which I think isn't too bad at all... |

I don'tnknow which program you're referring to - never heard of pictures and videos viewer and also, I am never ever given an option as to what part of a picture I would like to crop. Are we using the same device here? |

1) Cropped with a blank bar across I don't get any blank bar? If you see the image above, it's 176x200 - the image sits superior (as opposed it inferior or behind) to the bottom tray (the soft key buttons), therefore the whole image is displayed, and at the top, the "G" and the battery meter are shown above the image - there is not bar at the top. In fact, I'll post an image already on my computer. |
