I've tried the GSensorCalibrator and mine is still off, the calibration screen shows how it's aligning (maybe just some fancy gfx?), and then when done one of the axis still shows as being off on the calibration-screen (and in Teeter as well, the ball rolls down towards the hard-keys/bottom of screen). Have anyone checked that the phone itself is actually flat on the table? i would think probably not since it got the "diamond" backside, but then again, im waiting for my replacement phone so i cant check it. |

Im using Garmin Mobile XT. Works like a charm, also with screen rotation, and the maps doesnt take up very much space. Only problem is that mapsource doesnt show my device for map uploading purposes, but i managed to get the maps over by simply using a microSDHD card on my laptop, and from there i copied the map onto the garmin folder on my phone. |

That's the CDMA version... guess it might have bigger battery as standard spec? P And a MicroSD MicroSDHD ++ expansion slot as well... this cant be the pro? i hate releases like this, makes those who pay alot to get the phone as soon as possible feel bad about not waiting. |

I wonder why it doesnt work automatic? mine works flawlessly with automatic settings, and it has pinpoint accuracy. i took my phone fishing yesterday, and used garmin to adjust speed, and google satelite maps for location. it easily sensed my 2.1 knots speed (about 4 km/h). And google maps was amazingly accurate. GPS even works inside |

I have recently aquired the htc diamond. However when i got it, as i turned it on, all the colors where distorted, but over like 5 seconds, the colors turned to normal. It was like the distorted images slided out of the left side like lines, and then the screen where just fine again. This bothers me, because every time the screen has been off, when i wake the device it all happens over again. i have tried to write htc support, but they dont reply to me. I also have trouble with the wifi. as soon as it connects to a network, it shuts down again after a few seconds of activity. it simply wont stay on for more than 2-3 seconds. Have any of you guys experienced the same problem? and perhaps found a solution? |

Doesnt your router have dhcp? it assignes ip-adresses to devices. I havent tried to connect my vox to any non dhcp routers, so i really dont know how. i dont know any reason for not using dhcp except for the static ip streaming advantages (server and media sharing). set up up your router to have 1 assignable ip adress, set a WEP encryption key, and hide the network. the other devices could still have their statics, and outside the dhcp range. This way your vox would have the same ip everytime you use it. Your vox doesnt have any speciffic ip-adress. It might be possible that your router is using mac adresses to give access, if this is the case, try connecting your phone to the network, and configure your router to give access to the phones mac-adress (routers usually show mac-adresses that is currently trying to access network, all you have to do is setting the router to allow the device) |

Hi at all... I looked in the pinned topic "Hard Reset your Smartphone", but i don't know, what the "HTC S730" is also called. And with Google i didn't find anything about a hardreset of the S730. Does anyone in here know, how to do it? Would be fine, if he could tell me And a second question... When updating the weather-forecast in the HTC Homescreen, the phone always tries the connection via GPRS. But when I'm at home and have my phone connected through WiFi with broadband-internet I want to use the WiFi-Connection to update. Can i force the phone to use Wifi instead of GPRS? Is there a way? Thx a lot 4 help... homerjs_77 for hard reset of your device, you can follow the above option, or if your phone crashed, you can: Shut down your phone, press both softbuttons and hold them down while turning on your phone, hold the until a message appears asking you to press send to hard reset your phone. follow onscreen intructions |

hey, I installed everything, it looked really fine, but suddenly I couldn't use my wifi anymore. everytime I wanted to connect to the router, it stopped after about 10 seconds and wifi was suddenly turned off again. so I had to remove it, unfortunately. does it have to do anything with the plugins? probably facade? btw, I use a qtek 8310 with the newest wm6 (v3.6) on it... Yes it is probably your Phone Alarm. if you enter settings on PA and select radio/bluetooth, theres an option on wifi to either unactive, unchanged or active. try switching from not active to unchanged. that should fix it |

Does anyone know of an application which will provide audible/vibrating notification of a missed call or SMS? This would be very similar to what all Motorola phones have. The way the feature works on the Motorola is that, once there is a missed call or sms, the phone will vibrate and/or beep (depending on the profile) every 5 minutes or so to notify. I miss this feature and it would be great to have this on my S710. PhoneAlarm does this. |

Could you please help me with safer overclocking speed for HTC S710? I installed Tormado PowerControl application but I am a little worried about a possible damage to my S710. Thanks in advance for your help. The phone is stable up to 254 with Omap Clock, the other overclocking app in the same folder as tornado, at least with the cab i got. i use Omap if i need that little extra, usually i just use full speed on tornado |

Hi, Your request seems quite a reasonable and simple one : a nice home page, with some modifications of the xml file to change the order / font size with a few plugins like tasks and multiples calendar event but it indeed seems a bit more complicated. Santa just bring me a new S730 to replace my stolen S710 and I directly reinstall everything but I end up with a phone not responding properly to keys, USB so slow I lost sync and a battery drown out in half a day I allmost sent it back but after a factory reset, everything was back into order Looking at the MSM7200 diagram, it appears this phone now got an ARM11 instead of an ARM9 (at least as main application processor) and I suspect most of the simple/old application are not taking this into account ? Cheers, Philippe. Concerning the non responsive keys, that was because of facade. i installed facade and the phone went to be a pain in the a** often had to push a button like 5-10 times before it responded. took facade away, worked like a charm again |

I have recently stumbled upon a problem which I just cant solve so I was hoping somebody can help me out since I searched this and the xda-developers forum for a solution. If you want to connect to a WEP encrypted wireless network, you need to enter the key in ASCII format since there is no option to enter it in hexadecimal. Now this works fine as long as the ASCII keys are regular numbers and letters. however if your WEP key uses ASCII keys such as Æ (corresponds to C6 in hex) or other unusual characters, there is no way of entering the key since they do not appear in the symbols menu of the S710. Now what I already tried was to copy and paste the symbols from a textfile I created on the pc and then transfered it to the S710. Even though the characters appear fine in the WEP key box, the S710 will not connect to the network stating the key would be incorrect. So obviously Windows Mobile 6 recognises the characters in some form but then it wont work for the WEP keys. So I was wondering is there anyway I can enter the hexadecimal key? Maybe directly into the registry over an editor? Or maybe there is a zero config utility that will accept hexadecimal keys? Any help would be appreciated. What? i have Æ on my keyboard, the one you flip open, dont need to enter symbols to get it... try shift + arrow left... thats on the norwegian version though, if you got it, you might try switching t9 language to norwegian.. dunno if that helps though. oh and to get a big Æ and not small æ u need caps |

I agree and also wanted to use all, including Fizz Weather, so customised it again for my own personal use, and came up with this one:- It uses the latest Fizz Weather addition "4 Day Large" setting:- [attachment=22626:PAH_Vista__ALL_.PNG] Anything larger would force the screen to scroll, I wanted at least 2 days in the calendar, and thought this worked ok. I've added the XML to v 0.98 called "PAH Vista (ALL)", which is now available Yeah:) it looks great:) thanks paholman, you do great on these homescreens, there just aint better ones out there in my opinion! |

hey! im must say the work you do on these homescreens is amazing! i miss a little thing though, the facade launcher, its kinda one of the most important things on my homescreen i was wondering if there was a way to get that to the right of the clock, fitted into that little box where the battery icon appears when charging? or even above the calendar, just make the callendar a bit smaller... I usually customize those homescreens i use that doesnt have the launcher with facade, but this homescreen wont let me add the launcher in facade plugin settings. that would be really great, it would be a perfect homescreen... i use the PA, facade, fizz, gprs homescreen! |

Everything named "Norton" can only mean troubles... theres a number of methods to overpass this problem, had trouble with it numerous times myself. 1 the simplest: remove batt, and memory card, then boot it up. (if it doesnet work it will hang on the second htc logo screen) 2: remove batt and memory card, boot it up, let it go through the first HTC screen and the win mobile screen, and at once the screen reaches the second HTC logo, quickly reinsert the mem card. 3 if 2 is unsuccessfull, repeat 1, but let it lie still for a while, them take out battery and repeat 2. 4 slide out your qwerty during boot and type like crazy on it. one of these methods should work, at least theyve done for me about 50 times now. 5 hard reset your phone (push the two softkey buttons and hold them in while booting your phone until u see black screen with white text and follow instructions. hope this helps |

i might be wrong, but a while ago i read a thread about this map issue. apparently, earlier versions og the v6 series do not work on ttn5.2, however, they changed the people making the maps for them or something like that, and supposedly all maps v6.60 and up works on ttn 5.2 im using ttn v5.20 myself, and it works like a dream with my bluetooth gps reciever. |

there appears to be icons missing at the very top of some colour screens. For example, where you have posted 4 screenshots further up the thread, the far left and far right are missing icons around the word "meeting" but the second from the right has all the icons displayed. Is this something I'm doing wrong? If its the icons surrounding the profile bar you are referring to, they appear when you have a missed call, new message, mail etc. |

I'm using phoneAlarmSP, but the LED function doesn't appear to work. In fact, I've not found any App that actually works with LED flashing. DontForget is supposed to do this too, but that doesn't appear to work either. well actually, ive found it working, allthough not very good, i tested it after replying to this post... the led that flashes every now and then when the phone is on, i set the phonealarm to notify with led every ten seconds unlimited... when it was on, i called my phone and hung up... the led flashed about 3-4 times in shorter intervalls then the regular flash, but it is hardly noticable since the original flash aint that far apart... or its just me wanting it to work |

Why this hightech VOX device with such complicated OS as WM6 doesn't have this simple feature ??? (don't say "coz it iz windowz") All phones, which I used before, used blinking LED notifications for missed calls, incoming sms, mails and so on......and NOTHING in VOX, which have 2 LEDs with 4 colors ! Does anybody knows any kind of software, which can solve this issue ? PhoneAlarm notifies with led, also lets you choose the intervalls and how many times. not quite sure if it works on the vox, i havent really watched it to see, but it should work... |
