Great call... did the trick. I don't know why I didn't think of it!

Installed both patches. Now I have numeric caller-id on the outside instantly. Haven't tried installing new stuff yet though. But the patching went as advertised.

Be advised: if you try the cid patch, it takes a long time. About 15 minutes I think. Your phone will look quite odd while patching, or at least mine did. After a while it will reboot and the Verizon screen will stay on much longer then usual. It's all normal and after 20 minutes or so your should be good to go.

Often, when I put my phone in the cradle, the charge indicator light will turn yellow and flash. Sometimes it stay that way all night and then the battery is low in the morning. to get it to act normally I have to remove and replace several times. Does anyone know what the yellow light means? I find nothing about it in the manual.

I tried the mod at the Omnisoft site. I now have burned fingers and a holster I don't trust.

You have to wonder how hard it would be to make one of these things from scratch? Couldn't you just make a mold from the phone and then make holsters from there? How hard could it be?

Does anyone have any success with other cases besides the one for the i90? I have the Verizon one, and I hate the fact that I have to take it out to sync. I also think it is way too much stuff. It makes the phone feel like it is twice actual size.

So... WHat do you carry your i600 in?
