QUOTE "The messages could not be sent, Verify that you have newtwork coverage and that your account information is correct and then try again" This is a current network fault which Orange is having at the moment, (apparently happening in the south of England) The message will come and go.... I have the same problem, I just keep retrying, and eventually it goes through. Orange have told me that there is currently no ETA of a solution but enginers are working to try and resolve it. ( the same old reply as per usual ! ) |

Orange's Different Model Replacement (DMR's) can change weekly.....
After 3 same faults, or 1 fault if you spend over £100 per month for the last 6-12 months, they can offer you 1 of 3 other handsets. Currently the DMR's for the E200 are:- 7250i NK6600 Handspring Treo 600 They always try to get you to take the first handset (because it's cheaper for them) but if you refuse it moves to the next. I'm in the same boat, I've had 3 faults the same, and I'm basically waiting for the E200 DMR's to change to a P900 (in all honesty I'm a stinggy sod and only spend about £15 a month, but I'm thinking if I'm going to get a different model replacement it might as well be the dog's B****ck's!) The P900 was actually a DMR for the E200 (about 2/3 months ago) but apparently it changed due to low P900 stock levels. I keep checking every week, if/when it changes to a P900 I'll post a reply to let you know. Fitz |

YES! I've managed to sort it out with webwapselect. I put it to web (even though it was already on web) and it sorted it! |

You can delete all your SMS's without using an external application, it's a built-in feature of the SPV:-
Start>Inbox>SMS>Press Menu> Go to or press 0 for Accounts/Folders >Scroll to SMS and click folders> Select Desired Folder i.e INBOX>Press menu>Press 3 or Scroll down to Delete SMS Messages... You then get the following message:- "alert Are you sure you want to permanently delete all messages in this folder?" Press Yes, and all your SMS messages are deleted in one go without downloading any other utility/application! |

That because you cant! Yet another facility in the manual which the E200 can't actually do.
When you go to "insert sound", it doesn't recognise the *.wav format so you can't send it to another mobile. If you want a recording to be a ringtone then you need to manually convert it. 1) Upload the recording off you SPV to your PC 2) Open the wave file with Windows Sound Recorder 3) File>Properties>Convert Now 4) Change wav file to the following settings:- Format = PCM Attributes = 44,100 kHz, 8 bit, Mono, 43 kb / sec 5) Save file and upload it to your phone. 6) Put file in the following folder:- Storage/Application Data/Sounds 7) Whilst in your phones sound settings the file will now be there to select Enjoy |

Yes you can do it with Windows Sound Recorder....
Open file>Properties>Convert now.... If it's stero put it to mono...if it's 44000khz put it to 22000khz, if 24-bit put it to 16-bit etc |

Got to admite, I haven't had the problem on my pc, only my E200.
I also found (last time it happened) that once I've managed to get the full internet page up, it stayed like it. Any idea's or solutions to this would be very well recieved. |

Hi, I've been on the Modaco site on my e200 loads of time and it's been fine, pictures, colours the lot. Now it's in white, with no pictures, and is like a wap site. I had this problem about 6 months ago, but it sorted itself out, now the problems is back again. Also now 2 other mates have the same problem, although they havent ever been able to get the full web like page off their e200, where as I have. None of us are plus member (infact one is not a member at all) Any help with this Paul? Posted from my SmartPhone! |

Apparently it allows your spv to use the orange wap gate.
It does this by making it think it's a t68i. Many people used it when Orange was giving away wap for free (but not internet) |

To be specific, the limit for sending a file via MMS it is 98k for an attachment and 2k reserved for actual text totalling 100k, hence the max size for a file would be 98k reguardless if you added any text to it.
UNLESS...........You are sending Orange to Vodafone.........Vodafone only accept upto 30k |

Another thing to add to your list.... the E200's joystick is only 4-way (not 8-way like the E100!) |

Works fine on the E200, no reduction in speed what-so-ever.
I have several media convertors; so I can pretty much convert anything to anything now. For example I convert a windows media video, quicktime or realplayer file to avi/mpeg then use Nokia Media Convertor to convert it to 3gp. It reduces the size of the file as well too, which is quite useful too. |

You need to have the emulator and roms in the same folder, then just shortcut the main .exe to your games folder. |

You can convert mpeg/avi to 3gp with Nokia Mutlimedian Converter so that they will work on a mobile.
This means that when it's on your phone you can send it via MMS to another phone. |
