This is quite annoying, it happens sometimes. Do you have a registry editor?

HKCU\Systems\State\Messages\MMS\Unread .. I bet that's "1" even though you have no unread MMS. set it to 0 and you're done.

Guys, I have Phil's Kaiser Notification software installed for some time.

But today I keep getting the flashing light for a new sms/mms BUT there are no new messages!!

I deleted ALL my sms/mms's and still getting the flashing light.

Tried to switch of the warnings and then back on again and still there.

Also have Slide to Unlock installed and have a sneaky suspicion it may be this.

Any help will be much appreciated smile.gif
Thanks

Guys, I need a quick bit of help please. I'm trying to transfer a Folder of documents to my VIII using my Mac, Leopard and Mark Space.

But I'm unable to transfer entire folders using mark space. I have to individually send all the docs within a folder - which is incredibly confusing and time confusing.

Anyone have any tips for me please?

Well I went and bought one!
Wish I hadn't!

1) The phone does not fit well into the holder. It requires a large ammount of force to remove it once seated.

2) The built in speaker is almost useless. It picks up all the network sounds (the squeaks and whistles that one hears if you hold a phone near a HiFi system) and amplifies them making it almost impossible to keep it turned on. If you remove the lead that links up the speaker - then of course you cannot hear any sounds from the phone.

Useless for me unfortunately.

Trying to see if I can return it. Although I will only get half the price because of the stupid £7.99 + £9.99 p&p pricing :-(

Oh man! Sorry mate. I feel a bit bad for posting the link up now. Hope you manage to get some kinda refund. Is there any way you can put your own speaker in to make it a little better?

Sorry guys. I thought the link wouldn't work so I added the Item Number. For anyone who wants to check this item out just key in the item number on ebay and the mount will show up.

Mwright, would you say £20 for this item is too much? Brodit (active) is almost £40. Plus with this one you get a few more additions - louder speakers etc

I'm very tempted... unless someone can convince me otherwise smile.gif

Lads, just came across this on my travels round ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/POWERED-CAR-KIT-MOUN...1QQcmdZViewItem

Item number 230243304182 (just in case link doesn't work)

What do you all think? Seems to good... and cheap to be true!

Better than Brodit mount?

An active holder has a charger attached to it so that when you put the phone in the holder, it's "actively" charging. A passive holder just holds the phone without charging it.

Thanks URprey. Judging by what i've read on the thread so far, even if I buy a Passive holder I can still attach an in-car charger to the phone when required, right?

Since this thread started, has anyone found a cheaper place in the UK to buy the brodit holder?

Guys, sorry to ask what may be a very silly question - to which there may be an abvious answer - but what is the difference between an "Active" brodit holder and a "Passive" Brodit holder? I've done some research and just can't seem to get the answer!

Thanks

Hopefully this is the way its supposed to be smile.gif

HSDPA is a kind of 3G, is it not?
I don't get it at all in Edinburgh, but I just went to the canary islands, and got HSDPA practically all the time. Weird.

Thanks Shootydogthing. HSDPA is like 3G but HSDPA is supposed to be a lot quicker I think. So was wondering if when connecting to t'internet should I not be told Im connecting with HSDPA?

Can anyone confirm please smile.gif

Guys, a quick question regarding HSDPA on T-Mobile...

I have the "H" symbol on my Vario III at the top of the home screen, which is the HSDPA symbol. BUT when I connect to the internet I get a message saying "Connecting to the internet - GPRS - 3G". Should this not say HSDPA??? Or am I just being silly? rolleyes.gif

Thanks

Guys, I thought something was weird when my battery was showing on full for last 2 days.

I'm currently on 3% battery level yet the battery bar at top of home screen is showing full!!

And when I plug the charger in the charger indicator doesnt come up. I still have the full battery icon.

I've soft reset the phone several times and still no luck.

The only thing new that Ive installed is Nadavis's new phone dialer.

Can anyone please advise? I really dont wanna hard reset the thing sad.gif

Thanks

Thanks

Well Phil, I thought it worked... But it doesnt work properly!!

I've set it to 2 minutes back off. Max 60. And when I do get a missed call it will vibrate and audio alert me once. But thats it! No more alerts - vibrate or audio - thereafter. The led though flashes fine.

Any tips?

Thanks

Exactly, just put it straight on the card, and not in any sub-folder

Thanks Mandt. Did that... but still no luck sad.gif

I may have installed something incorrectly.

When I get a chance later, I'll list all the files I have for tomtom. Would you be able to then guide me through the installation process please, dude?

Thanks Mandt. Erm, where do I find the Root of the card?

I'm guessing I'll need to use a registry editor to place in Root of Folder?

Or is the Root of the folder where ALL the other folders have been placed? (My Documents, Programe Files, Others etc?)

Guys, I tried to install tomtom 6 last night. However, I have a bit of a weird problem.

When I fire up TT6 I get a message saying No Maps Found. I then only have the option to click Done, and this exits tt6.

I installed the UK & Ireland maps to the tomtom folder on the sd card. When this didnt work I installed to my docs. when this didnt work I installed to Guam folder. When this didnt work I installed to Navigator folder.

But nothing seems to be working!

What ROM are you using? Have you made any tweaks, I'm thinking in terms of sleep/standby times? Is it vibrating as a reminder if you select that option?

Regards

Phil
