Some great little tidbits of info from my recently finished session... - When the stylus is removed in a call, it starts a note for that person. Removing the stylus turns on the device. There is a magnetic latch for stylus, no more losing the stylus by it falling out! - When the phone is ringing, you can turn it over to mute the call - There is a marble game with an accelerometer included, also tied to vibration motor - It was designed for haptic feedback, but the user experience wasn't satisfactory - The screen is NOT capacitive due to acceptable user experience for handwriting recognition essential in asian markets - There is tempered glass on the front of the Touch Diamond, a first for a HTC device. Touch surface -> tempered glass -> LCD - It doesn't auto rotate all apps, just Album, Browser etc. - The GPU (graphics accelerator) IS in use - There is NO microSD slot, adding it would have added 2mm to the chassis - There is a built in mass storage mode. When you use it to add content from your PC, the music and photo apps automagically update - The Browser uses the Opera rendering engine, but completely HTC engineered UI What about video capture? I'm guessing that it's like the Xepria ? 640x480? |

hold on there... fixed camera issue? i dont think so... on xda people have said core player does make video playback on the kaiser much better, it adds the QTv driver, but that's only with Coreplayer, everything else still occurs such as graphics rendering and the camera bug. Also ive heard running coreplayer ni the background and trying to take a picture just corrupts the picture. Err you just answered your own question. Pictures ano longer corrupted when using Qtv in coreplayer |

This seems to be getting loads of coverage, but if I remember correctly, Orange UK (yes, I know) had something that did almost exactly this, three years ago through their basic web service!!! My first smartphone was a C500 and on the 'my homepage' through Orange you could bring up a map (yes, a map with graphics and whatnot!!!) of your approximate location, which was clearly based on rough triangulation? I'm now T-Mob so can't check if its still there these days. Google seem to be getting a lot of back patting for this and I'm usually an Orange-basher but in this case I think Google are getting a bit of unfair kudos! Vodafone (SFR here in France) Has had the same service (with traffic etc..) for like 3or 4 years..And localisition is better than Google maps right now. |

Anybody noticed that they changed the maps lastt night? They went back to the old ones, without the roads overlaid on top of the satelite vue (atleast in Europe). sucks Here's how the "new" ones looked like yesterday http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&ll...p;z=12&om=1 click on show labels to see how it looks like now. |

Looks like it may have something to do with the useragent of the device IMO. That's the only reason I see for it working on My P3600 and not on my LG KS20 (says myl:N/A on it) . |

Well as of right now it's no longer working on the P3600 too EDIT: Oops works again on the P3600. Looks like a hardware specific bug on the KS20 though. As it doesn't even try ro look up for the position and automatically says that it is temporally unavailable etc... |
