Dear All,

I need to do half a circle with the wheel before it moves to the next item. I'm used to the faster ipod click wheel. can this be changed? I haven't found the option in settings...

thanks

g.

hi there, I am considering moving from my aging but trusty Palm Tx. I was in the US and I got a Shadow.
Now, I have lots of subfolders for contacts and tasks (work, etc.). Is it really the case that WinMob Standard does not do that? I can't beleive it - DataViz's Beyond Contacts on the Palm has no problem whatsoever dealing with subfolders... I was thinking about moving to WinMo because of perfect compatibility with Outlook, but this is really incredible. Am I wrong?

thanks!

hi there, I have 700+ contacts in outlook, and I only call about 30/50 numbers stored in my SIM. Is there any hack to display only sim numbers in the phone functions of the shadow?

thanks

I really wanted to get a shadow. I've been using palm for a decade, but they are just pathetic and they won't get their act together. The centro keyboard is too small, and since I use outlook, I thought I might as well switch to wi mo.
however, the review by pogue is quite bad:

do you think you can improve the pitifull win mobile experience with software additions?

thanks!

Hi everyone, I'm looking to consolidate my palm+phone setup into one nice non bulky smartphone, which obviously leads me to the type of keyboard on those devices. I would go for a centro - I love the touchsreen, the palm os and a full qwerty keyboard, but I need GSM and wifi....
I don't like win mobile, but the HTC interfaced seemed nice enough. Now, have you people used a blackberry lately? The OS is really slick, and they have really minimized the number of button/clicks necessary for everything you might want to do. Plus the new Pearl has wifi...

Any thoughts?

thanks for the fast reply. I trust paul in that it shouldn't be too hard. tmobile doesn't care about latinos in the us (they'll pay in terms of market share!) and they will probably won't release downloadable dictionnaries, but probably copying the files from other win mo phones shouldn't be hard. Is there any other winmo phone with suretype and with dictionnary available in other languages?

thanks again!

PS: perhaps the subforum should be Juno-Shadow, it would be less cryptic!

Dear All,

I'm planning to get a tmobile shadow. They are already sold on ebay. However, I know nothing about sim unlock options. Anyone heard about this?

Thanks!

PS: Paul, I was an early member of modaco, when the SPV was launched in the UK. I returned my bricked phone a few days later, and only now I am considering moving from palm os to WM. We've come a long way! Great site, congrats.
