if you hold down the alt key you will get a little move icon, now you can click anywhere on a window and drag it around the screen. handy for when the buttons you need are out of reach wink.gif

Thought it'd be interesting to see how people are customizing their EEE's. Feel free to post up your desktops, and brief description of what you've done to make it unique.

Here's mine:

- Linux Mint 4.0 with Beryl.

now using Linux Mint 4.0 on my white EEE, a very good Ubuntu 7.10 clone that looks better and runs quicker, plus more software available. Including Beryl and Kiba Dock smile.gif

The guys behind Firefox have released their own iTunes clone, called Songbird and it works on Linux, including Ubuntu and Xandros. Have it up and running on my EEE PC via Ubuntu and its pretty good. Includes its own iPod drivers too, plus loads of plugins.

everything but the webcam works, but haven't tried installing third-party drivers, intel third-party video drivers are better too.

i tried Kubuntu at first but was having problems with the updating/web, so far its running good and quite fast under standard Ubuntu. Considering installing Beryl and see how it performs.

It runs quite well off a external CD/USB keydrive too.

Looks like episode 1 will be out sometime next week, planning a get together with Tim Millwood and Paul (MVP) to discuss their first impressions of the eee pc, why they decided to get one, the possible future/rumours and we'll also discuss Paul's Vista Installation.

May either do this via skype or on talkshoe (so anyone who wants to join us then get in touch).

QUOTE(Paul (MVP) @ Nov 21 2007, 20:53) *
I'm in, and have the gear here to record via Skype. I'm sure Mono would be in too.

Are you thinking an actual agenda or a 'chatcast' type thing?

P

i'll probably use Talkshoe to produce/host it... have a 30 minute chatcast and a separate 10 minute news cast. Once every 2 weeks would probably be a good start and see how things go from there.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested if i start to put together a podcast for the EEE PC, probably cover news, tips and hacks. I have a little bit of experience in this as i currently do a Mac Customizing podcast.

What are your guys ideas, views on this?
