if you hold down the alt key you will get a little move icon, now you can click anywhere on a window and drag it around the screen. handy for when the buttons you need are out of reach |

now using Linux Mint 4.0 on my white EEE, a very good Ubuntu 7.10 clone that looks better and runs quicker, plus more software available. Including Beryl and Kiba Dock  |

The guys behind Firefox have released their own iTunes clone, called Songbird and it works on Linux, including Ubuntu and Xandros. Have it up and running on my EEE PC via Ubuntu and its pretty good. Includes its own iPod drivers too, plus loads of plugins.  |

everything but the webcam works, but haven't tried installing third-party drivers, intel third-party video drivers are better too. |

i tried Kubuntu at first but was having problems with the updating/web, so far its running good and quite fast under standard Ubuntu. Considering installing Beryl and see how it performs. It runs quite well off a external CD/USB keydrive too. |

i'm using Ubuntu 7.10 at the moment, but being a Mac guy i may try and install Mac OSX on it and see how it works out. |

Looks like episode 1 will be out sometime next week, planning a get together with Tim Millwood and Paul (MVP) to discuss their first impressions of the eee pc, why they decided to get one, the possible future/rumours and we'll also discuss Paul's Vista Installation. I was wondering if anyone would be interested if i start to put together a podcast for the EEE PC, probably cover news, tips and hacks. I have a little bit of experience in this as i currently do a Mac Customizing podcast. What are your guys ideas, views on this? |
