Nope, never used the ‘automatic’ setting under profiles...This is when the phone is set to LOUD. It still plays my ringtone if someone rings, but not for events like email, SMS, MMS and reminders. |

For the past week my TyTnII has developed a strange problem whereby the Sound & Notifications keeps resetting itself so that things like Reminders, new SMS, new Email etc. all have their checkboxes unchecked and thus I am given no on-screen notificiation or audible alert. I haven’t done anything to the phone (that I can recall) during this period, other than installing a new theme on the phone, but cannot understand what is causing this. If I go into Sounds & Notifications and enable the tone for ‘reminders’ for example, it will work for about an hour or so then it seems to remove itself again and no longer plays the tune when a reminder goes off. Likewise for email, SMS, MMS etc. Its driving me nuts now as im missing alerts and messages. Has anyone come across this problem or have any idea how to resolve it? Thanks |

Thanks guys... I installed some apps on the phone before i bought the memory card, but since then everything has gone on the storage card. Ive gone through the phone with what I thought was a fine tooth combe to make sure there weren't any ringtones, pictures, videos etc. hanging about and i just cannot see what is occupying the space. Where are the IE temp files stored? |

My phone keeps telling me it’s critically low on storage space, but I cant find what is taking up the bulk of the space. The ‘find files over 50k tool’ is of little use IMO – is there any software that can be used to find up what’s taking all the space and where space can be freed? I have about 3BG spare on my memory card, I just want to know what to shift off.Thinks like personal ringtones for contacts have to stay on the device as WM6 doesn’t seem to like using them otherwise. I have no pictures or other audio installed on the phone itself so don’t really know where I can rescue some much needed space? |

Im off to Spain in a couple of weeks and expect that the high call charges of using a UK mobile will prohibit me making many calls home using my TyTnII. I’ve never bothered with VoIP before but thought if I can find a free wifi-hotspot (or the Hotel provides it?) then maybe I can call home ‘for free’. Is this possible, and if so can anyone recommend the best option for this device? Thanks |

I dont know if it exists, no. But I too would love such a plug-in...Maybe just a thinned down RSS reader would do the trick? |

Niice. Thanks for those links Would be nice if there was some way to store these in media player rather than in a browser which then opens media player. |

No 'registration' needed feel free to use it No authentication required Still on this bugger. So I can use my normal POP3 account for incoming mail and the t-mobile SMTP for sending? Simply cannot get this to work at all. Will try deleting the account completely and trying again. |

are you referring to the label field in the outlook calendar? that is a different list to that on my phone though and the ones i added via my phone dont show there so i cannot delete them in outlook (2003) Still looking for a solution to this. Is there anything i can edit in the registry perhaps if the GUI itself doesn't have such a facility (what an oversight!!!) |

I was playing with touch commander yesterday and accidentally deleted the link to the music on the page with music, photo and video. Now I cannot restore the link as I do not know while file or shortcut it linked to. Could anyone with this installed please take a peek and see where it should link? Also, it seems to not be aligning the icon for the top section to the left as with the others (i.e. icon left, label right), but rather top and bottom. How do I restore this? |

I've created a couple of categories on my calendar which I no longer need, but can see no obvious way of editing and deleting calendar categories. Can anyone tell me how i do it please? |

I once spent an hour on the phone to T-Mo with this problem For me what worked was to delete the account, do a proper shutdown (hold the power key) then re-create the account the above server is definitley correct BTW Thanks. Do i need to register with them for email then or can i just send via their servers given im on the network? What about authentication settings? |

I get exactly the same problem. I tested it and the results seem consisten, whenever data transfer is going on my phone will divert to voicemail (MDA Vario 2 on WM6) Does anyone know how to fix this? Also T-mobile support told me that turning off 3G sorts out other dropping call, and diverting to voicemail issues.... Im having the same problem too and it is really concerning for me. What if im browsing the web or on googlemaps or any other data usage. Whats the point in having unlimited data tariff if you cannot take full advantage of it? is it worth giving tmobile a ring? |

I dont have an email account that i can use "push" email with, so i was wondering what people felt the most efficient way of using email on teh Kaiser? I have a hotmail account, a gmail account and a few others, but dont want the hassle of having to open a browser, sign in, navigate to the inbox etc. etc. I'd rather a bit better integration than that. Has anyone got any effective email solutions for such situations? thanks |

1) What does the connection say when you hover over it? If it is the standard RNDIS IP connection between your device and you pc, then that is normal 2) Have you enabled the internet connection in activesync passthrough on your pc? 3) If so and its still not working, then do you have a proxy server between you and the internet? 1) Hover over what? 2) Yep, all enabled 3) No proxy server, no. Thanks |
