QUOTE(clow @ Jan 1 2008, 23:33) *
I would love a cab for this. I like the top bar and I like the blue of the color scheme. I also really like the background for when a call is being made. I'm not sure about the main background image. While I really like the image it might be too busy for me. I've got it on my phone now and I'm going to give it an attempt and see how I feel about it. All in all, absolutley amazing for a first attempt! nice!

Thanks Clow. I can change the background if you would like. To something less busy. Also I don't know how to make it into a cab or I would. Tell me how and you got it.

Chaznet...I don't know how to take screen shots lol...or I would have...again...tell me how or point me in the right direction.

I am going to add icons later too.

I added clock fonts as well because I don't like the defualt ones very much.

Hey mods. Someone should sticky this...let's make it the Official Neo Theme Thread.

My first attempt at a theme.

Let me know if you like it.

I already did 2 but i didnt work.

I have had the same problem you are. For some reason I cannot mod the screen after I do it the first time. I have to hard reset my phone to be able to add a new theme...you seem to be having my problem.

I recommend downloading the original theme from up top and sticking with it.

I am not sure. But I will check the reg and look for it...it is extremely annoying...I know. Specially when it is on vibrate and you get a text and it keeps going and going and going...mine did it for 20 seconds ish...non stop vibrating. I thought my phone hung up...or died.

I think that the sever handles your sending and recieving and not the actual phone itself. The best way I can put this is...think of your phone as a gas pedal or brake pedal and the information as the petrol...you control when it starts or ends...but it is the gas that actually propels that car. You are basically a destination...and that is it.

I am sure that you can't alter the sending limit. I may be wrong but I think your phone is just the end or beginning and not the actual medium in which the information travels. So...if you can alter the limit set by t-mobile then you sure can. biggrin.gif Sorry to dash your hopes..someone correct me if I am wrong though...I usually am.

I love you. But ya I made a scheme...just couldnt figure out where to put it. It was irritating...cause my start bar looks like garbage. Do you know what

color name="COLOR_TRAYGRADLEFT" value="#044494" />
<color name="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT" value="#00143C" />
<color name="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHTTEXT" value="#044494" />
<color name="COLOR_HOMETEXT" value="#FFFFFF" />
<color name="COLOR_HOMERULE" value="#2e444f" />

Pertain to...like what parts of the menus? Thanks so much.

EDIT: Nevermind man....I followed the links and it explains all that. Thanks..I am going to start calling you Lifesaver

Ok so I made a decent theme. I need to change the color of the start menu. How?...please do not say basehue. Has to be a diff way. I also need to change the font coloring. Can some of you awesome theme experts tell me how I would go about doing said things?....thanks much anyone that helps me...I guess I will just have to deal with this horrible looking theme for now....sigh.

Also how do I take screenshots?....what program would I use? I wanna show off this theme.

I will post it when I finish it completely.

Thanks,
Nick.

About your 30 day return policy...up here in washington...no matter where you go it is 14 days. But I think that Authorized or 3rd party dealers like those in retail stores like wal-mart fry's and best buy can set it to whatever they want....they pay full price for each phone because the phones aren't given to them like at corporate stores. They can sell the phone at whatever price they choose because they buy the phones out right and aren't locked into a selling price like corporate stores. I work for a T-Mobile Authorized dealer if you're wondering how I know this. We sell our sidekick LX's at 260 (with new 2 year agreement) instead of 300 like the corporate stores. So I am almost guaranteed that you will never see that price anywhere else...and if you don't buy one and re-sale it on ebay...then well your foolish. A free 350 dollar phone....? Do it...I think you can get over the fact it is brown if your saving 350 dollars. Plus...brown isn't THAT bad...it could be something like a purple...or even worse...yellow.

T-Mobile is giving them NO deal. They are giving you the deal. I think they just need to get rid of the Brown ones before the manager will order green and brown ones. We do that sometimes...push the ones we have left and sell them for cheap so we can just get a whole new order of new ones.

Also your probably going to only find that price at THAT fry's. Seems all fry's are owned by different people. Which means all the vendors are owned by different people. Usually. The closest one here is in Renton. So it is a 6 hours drive from Spokane. Thank god for best buy. But fry's is so cheap.....sigh.

I haven't seen one yet so just wanted to share my mod of the NEO home screen clock font. Basically, I did not like the digital clock font/typeface for the home screen so I created one which looks like this:
[attachment=23166:Shadow_H...een_Shot.jpg]

If anyone is interested in knowing how I did this mod let me know and I will post details.

Please post details biggrin.gif also...I like that color scheme...think I could get that from you? p p please? biggrin.gif

Dunno if this has been asked...but can you customize the start menu icons...so they aren't so pixelized?

EDIT: Typo

Thanks for the help guys. I figured I would just have to close them myself with task manager. As far as message tones goes I added a file to the ringtones folder and it shows up for a ringtone but not a message tone. Should I be putting the file under music? Its an MP3 if that matters

He said go into settings - sounds and all your SOUND files should show up and you should be able to set them there...not from the change ringtone screen.

Am I  right?

After doing a lot of reading...I have come to the conclusion that IMO this sub-forum could use it's own stickied "How To For The Shadow" thread. I was thinking it would consit of things like...how to change your neo color scheme and how to overclock it and things of that nature. Just put it all in the one topic and that would eliminate a lot of questions and it would help add to the fluidity and consistency of things....if not o well...just an idea...I am an idea man.
