Anyone else had this problem with activesync on Vista?

It's worked fine forever, it's only in the last month or so it's started doing this.

I noticed that I couldn't get any programs to install on the pocket pc when i run a PC .exe file to install (cab works fine direct on my TyTnII).

If I go into activesync setting and select add/remove programs, the window appears for about 1/2 a second and then goes away again.

It's driving me mad sad.gif

Looks like its going to be closed for beta testing for a while. My guess is that it will be a few weeks and then it will be released to the wider public.

Cheers

Phill

when I install the cab, it says 'Live mesh was uanble to find a suitable version of sql CE on this device. Unable to install Live mesh'

Where to I get the correct version of SQL CE from and should I have it already?

Hi, I'm having the same problems, mind telling me how to find the file and the name of it? Thanks in advance. Wai

Browse to the files on your storage card.

On mine there is a folder (on the top level) that starts inbox.mt29937238.393

I'm not sure if it's called the same every time, but I deleted this folder and it all started working again.

There's a file that's related to this...
if it is deleted, it will automatically be re-created by the OS
This should solve the problem...
I can't remember the file though.

Excellent, thanks.

From your info I was able to narrow down my searches on google and found that I needed to delete the inbox folder on the storage card, as soon as I did that everything worked again.

Has anyone else had this problem?

No matter what I do, email, sms and mms won't load, either through the main street, windows start bar, shortcuts, etc.

I've soft reset, turned off and on, etc. I really don't want to hard reset, but feel I might not have a choice.

I use Mail2web that is MS DirectPush and free of charge. The emails arrive real-time, after seconds...

Marcuzzo, which service did you set up for the direct push on mail2web?

Cheers paul, just signed up myself and it's very fast.

I'm cancelling the Vodafone business 'push' email, as it takes about 13 - 20mins for the email to come through, even though they arrivedo n the PC

Has any one here had much to do with setting up Vodafone Business email with an Outlook mail server?

I haven't managed to get it working yet and Vodafone help has been to good and I'm just looking for some pointers really in what I could be doing wrong.

Me again.

Has anyone here successfully set up Vodafone Business Email on a windows mobile device. I'm paying for it, but am having a terrible time setting it up to play with our server.

I know it's probably a bit niche, but any advice would be good.

I'm entering all the information that it needs, but won't logon to the mailbox. Maybe it's the format I'm putting it in has.

email addres: email address I want to use
Password: users password.
Login name: domainname\username
Mail server: ip address.
