Is there another way. I just found out from my work, that the only way they will let me have access, is if i allow them total access to my phone anytime. I think not. Is there any other way i can read my email from outlook using the Blackjack2. Please help |

What version of Exchange is your IT Dept. running? Are you logging intoi the OWA webmail service? Just setup active sync to synchronize with your works exchange server (you will need to supply your network credentials). It's so much better than accessing it from the webmail service, trust me. You will be able to get your emails on the fly in a readable format (as well as sync contacts, tasks, and calendar). Thank you for the advice, but i don't think i can do that, because i work off of a shared pc. Plus my empoyer is not crazy about certain software on the pc, but will check with them. Thanks again |

Someone please help. I have the BlkJk2, i had my msn push email through Xpress mail (AT&T's). It seemed to work for a few weeks, then out of nowhere, it just stopped. The only way now to get it, is to go in and push the "send/receive" button. My mailwatcher is always on in my task manager. I do not get it. THen i tried to go to hotmail.com and sign it that way, but it said something about needing javascript. I would really appreciate any help. I just want to be able to receive my email when it goes to my account. I also use Facade so MSN Direct is out of the question. Thank you |

Apoliges if this is a re-post. I need to enter brackets and braces and can't figure out how. How can I enter those and other special characters on a BlackJack II keyboard? Thanks. for the braces, the fastest way is to hold down on "o" or "p" key for about 2 seconds. for brackets hold down on the "spacebar" for 2 seconds and that will bring you to the symbol chart which has 196 symbols |

your not installing it right, you may have to use the computer, and then run the program with it connected with activesync. Is it a .cab file? I thought that too, but Samsungs site says that it has the cab. file within the downloaded exe file. I will try to install using active sync. Thanks |

This has happened to me before. I'm think what Krupa says about overheating being an issue because it happened to me while charging my phone in a very hot car and my phone was very hot. The qwerty keyboard even felt like the buttons had lost their *clicky* feel to them. Also, for those of you who run Omapclock, just as a suggestion try using default processor speeds and see if it still does it. Out of curiousity, are any or all of running Smart Toolkit? This also happened to me while i was running Smart Toolkit. I have not used it for at least 2 months, and it has not happened since. Just a thought |

I can't be of much help; but once in a whille my Windows XP will do the same thing, suddenly becomming finicky: it won't connect through Active Sync unless I restart my PC. -Have you guys tried uninstalling Active Sync and RE-downloading/installing it again? -Is he able to download Active Sync on another PC and try to sync from that one? That would at least eliminate the phone as the problem-source. -Try hard-reseting the phone? He obviously won't be able to back-up his data through syncing before hand! Yes, we re-installed active scyn and rebooted the pc. I think he has a bigger problem. He lives in Myrtle Beach, SC and i live in pa, so we have to do everything over the phone. But while we were troubleshooting, he mentioned that his Windows Firewall was not on and he was not able to go into it and turn it on. He did Win Updates and everything was up to date. So, it looks like he will have to do a Reformat of his HD. Thank you |

Hello. My son just bought a new BlkJk2. He is unable to connect to activesync. On the phone, in connections/USB, it does say ActiveSync. He Dwnld'd 4.5 from Microsoft's website. His pc recognises the phone, but when he plugs in, it sits there trying to connect. Then it goes int othis troubleshooting thing, which doesn't solve anything. Please help |

Awesome! thanks for your help. I will call them today Hi. I have the new phone, and the first thing i checked was the H/D Version. It said 0.3 Then i set my phone up the way i like it and a day later i looked again, and sure enough, it was blank again. I figured out what caused it. I set my font to "large" and it disappears. When i set it back to normal, it comes back. Just an FYI Thanks again. I got a "new" phone out of it. |

Ah...now you got yourself a problem! Hmm... there's really nothing you can or would want to do to force it to say the version number, so here are options: 1. Hard reset the phone (after backing up everything you don't want to lose) and see if it starts showing up. If not, go for another option... 2. Return the phone to ATT / Samsung letting them know about your problem for an exchange. 3. Ignore it. I would first examine the phone. Compare it to your sons in every aspect you can, and see if there is anything else wrong with it. If you can't find anything, option 1 is your best bet. If that turns up with nothing, then I would only say go for option 2 if you can find something else wrong with it. Otherwise you may find they won't exchange it unless you fabricate a bigger problem... Thank you for your help. I will first try the hard reset, if no luck, i will come up with something for ATT, my only concern, is that they will replace mine with a refurb. |

What exactly do you want to know? That is the hardware version of you handset. All of them should have that version. Not sure what you are asking here... Sorry. Should have been more specific. On my phone, the H/W version is Blank, nothing there at all. But my son's reads 0.3. Why? |

The speed is what OMAP reports. It won't seem any faster because it isn't much faster. You're only adding a small amount of speed. I recommend only using those programs if you're running a program specifically needs the extra speed and won't work without it. If you don't need it for that purpose, there's really no other purpose to have them. The only other use of those applications is to UNDERclock your device to save battery power. But any form of over/underclocking is always risk at device stability and could cause permanent damage. Thank You for the information. i guess i was expecting a WOW factor. Maybe, samsung could come up with a BlkJk3 with a 400Mhz processor. Ha! Ha! |

Hello. I have a question and i hope someone can help!!!!! I have a BlkJk2. I have installed Omapclock & Omapclock Plus. I can safely and consistantly set @276Mh. My ? is, is there a software that will tell me what my processor speed is? I guess, i just don't want to take Omap's word for it. Sometimes it just doesn't seem any faster than if i didn't have Omap. Any help would be greatly appeciated. Thank you |

If you want to prevent access to text messages there are 3rd party applications that will do this. I don't know the names of any, but I've seen them on Handango I had the same problem. I use this software. I love it. It will cost you like $15 http://www.smartphone.net/software_detail.asp?associateid=279&id=3656 |

I don't have yahoo messenger, but I don't exhibit the first issue at all. Tested it today while I was driving in and out of 3G-EDGE areas for a while... I am glad someone else has this problem. THis has been happening to me from the day i bought my phone on 11-26-08. And in my house, it frequently changes from E to 3G. It has been talked about in many other threads, but no one has ever pin pointed the cause, till now. I hope there is a fix soon. |

A shortcut link of Omapclock.exe in the the Startup folder will work as long as you specify the desired speed in the target line of the shortcut. What is a stable speed for the BJII? Thank you. I am very stable at 276. If i try to bump it up to 288, my phone freezes solid and it happens instantly. As soon as i hit "set clock", it just sits there. I have to take the battery out to reset. Maybe i am doing something wrong??? |

No. Putting the exe in the startup folder won't help. Even if you did it properly, it would still not stay forever. I recommend giving Tornado PowerControl a try. I think it was posted on these boards somewhere... Thank you for the info. i have it kinda working. I used this site, (http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/in...p/t-314272.html) and did what they said. I just can't figure out how he set it to start up when he powers on the phone. And they keys to change are: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TornadoPowerControl\CP UAuto3 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TornadoPowerControl\CP USpeed Change them both to 252. I changed mine to 276. Also, i did not have "UAuto3" so i changed my "Default" to 276. Any help would be Greatly Appreciated. THanks |
