forget it guys I figured out what is wrong. I did carefully go thru learning how to get the final process done to unlock the CID but its the phone that is messed up.

Anyone ever see this happen before? The 3125 has a proprietary port that does all the connectivity including charging. I found that the supplied usb cable kept moving to different positions on the phone and I had lost synch with it and could not regain it finally.
The port itself is loose and moving in and out of the phone and I can see the 2 solder connections have come desoldered. I think it goes to show that a design like this while innovative its not well thought out for dependablity.

I fear the former owner though listed as a barely touched phone with the plastic still on the lcd screens but the leather covers had a stud on the back and worn keychain mount. The stud on the back probably meant it was mounted in a car and charged in there too making it subject possibly to a lot of wear. They must make a cigarette lighter adapter as no one would have this mounting stud on it otherwise but i may be wrong. However anything that connects to this phone via a cable goes through that one port including the headphones so I can see now how this could be repeatedly tugged on unlplugged and plugged into.

here is the free way to unlock the phones CID I posted there and am sure i will be in trouble for posting asking for help in 2 locations but it seems as if the forums don't move old posts forward to the front if you reply within them as some other forums i have used.

I feel i have totally messed up on this process and will try and follow the directions closer. It states

5. Run Command Prompt, go to subfolder named "build" in itsutils folder, and run pdocread without arguments

I have found that itsutils whatever the name is of the .dll file it creates a file that can be observed in notepad whick it writes its results too in a file called itsutils though the directions for noobs here don't really state that they just say it gives you another file. I see the unique id now. But the directions go on to say use this version with arguments after word. Assuming to use the run command prompt and type somthing in it.

The problem is in these instructions though the pdocread or itsutils050628 was written to be used in windows CE and my impression is on the phone between this forum and the other one listed in the original how to free post it is unclear to us noobies. Other than the fact that the itsutils notepad file on the PC is gibberish with errors compared to the one on the phone it must mean I should use it on the phone. Is there a command prompt on the phone? I must have been running it from the PC though its on the phone yes. Ok so I guess I should run the command prompt from the PC's command line and see if I can figure out how to enter the proper arguments to get back the additional file info.

Help me please if you can. Is there a command line in the phone? Not even sure how to enter it as vista sees it as some other device not a specific drive letter too.

clearing storage on phone would result in what basically resetting the bios or rom in a sense to cingulars settings?

ok problem ah, I seen with the 2125 that they say one must copy files from storage card to run them, this is 3125 and so far the regeditSTG.exe file worked fine and i rebooted after running it from the microsd storage card.

but upon trying to run the 2nd app called SDA_ApplicationUnlock it gives and Alert that it is not a valid Windows CE application. The first time it gave some other error message so maybe it ran but it happened so fast idk. I will reboot and see. Being a noob to phones i don't even understand yet how to effectively copy the files from the storage too the phones memory when i tried to do so.

I will follow up on this. how do i know if the SDA worked? cause I got procread to run thru active synch? Also no reason for sim right now right? sorry total noob at phreakin cells

ok i tried running pdocread in build folder after getting active synch hooked up. pdocread seems to just run for awhile then close with no unique identifier or info. I am running vista home pro. I don't know if SDA worked or not, I just copied it too the main memory and tried running it again with same message error that its not a valid windows CE application. Any help?

ok from reading this post

ok ok ok i get it the app runs on the pc as it just worked fine and unlocked the SDA using it thru with the cable thru active sync
thank you. next job some of us noobs will flounder around till we try something that works thats not spelled out in the guide here. Also this description of how to do it leads to that other site and their first link is dead to the guide how too do it.

ok so

1) copy regeditstg to a storage card and put in phone run on phone if not work copy and paste to phones memory via active synch then run it.

2) reboot

3) run SDA application unlocker from PC connected using active synch with cable

4) reboot

5) run pdocread from within the build folder on pc using active synch.

its not working for me here. is this due to the PC running Vista home pro?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...280#post1520280

I am confused that perhaps they may have meant put this the itsutils on too the phone or pda device to run pdocread that way? Am i lost here. When i read the readme it states it is written for the CE os soif thats so it must work on the phone. tried it both ways and the app runs but still crashes before giving me any info. I even tryed timing paint since pause wasn't helping and got a sliver of info. Anyway I assuming its a vista problem. I disabled the uac and have tryed about everything I can think of now short of doing this on an xp machine. The guy there is stating put it on the c drive and system32 etc as far as the dll copy it several places. Looking at it now I think he meant the PC and not the phone.

ok i have tried running pdocread even on the phone since the readme states its for written for windows CE so I assume like a noob this means runs on the phone. Having trouble seeing the windows folder thru active synch on vista pc to copy the itnsutils.dll to the windows or system32 folder as this post states.

Am I completely wrong and should be running pdocread on the PC? I have tried making ss with paint to see what it says before the command line box closes but having now success.

can someone tell me if I should run pdocread on the actual phone or over active synch from PC? I guessing I just hosed myself with more folders and files on it. Anyway it didn't run either way but same results. Next guess is to try this with win2k or xp. Would be nice if in the confusion for noobs if it was clearly stated noob put this on the phone, noob put this on the PC etc.
