Ok, I have several pictures in My Pictures on my BJII. My question is - how do I get them to real size? What I mean by that is like...my computer can show them crystal clear even when theyre huge...yet the phone only shows them crystal clear when theyre as big as the phone's screen. I zoom, it blurs. Any fixes? |

uhh... idk anything at all.... but when i open pocketSNES it opens and none of my game files show up when i try to load the roms... what format should they be in? do i have to change change them? The standard format should be fine. I forget what format that is exactly, but it's the same format that computers use, no changing required. Make sure they aren't in archives though (*.zip, *.rar, etc). Also make sure you're looking where you put the ROMs on the phone. Hope that helps! |

I have a question. On above, it tells you to download the file PocketSNES153.rar, but from step number 5, it is mentioning Pocketsnes.exe. Do you have to change the format of the file? Perhaps, either I change the format or not, I thoroughly followed the instructions and I am still receiving the message "The program cannot start because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate." Can someone please help me out Yes, I have BlackJackII i617. At&t is my provider. Let me know if there is anyother information needed. Thank you. The *.rar file is an archive. When you extract the archive with a tool like WinRAR or Power Archiver you will get Pocketsnes.exe. As far as the program not being able to start...if you didn't extract the *.exe out of the *.rar and run that, it won't run, no. If you've still done all this, some form of app unlocking or something may need to be, I don't know because mine has always been unlocked. Hope that helps! |

A pretty nice resource for Blackjack 2/Windows Mobile 6 apps is www.myblackjack2.com -- it highlights some of the best apps in several different categories, and i tend to agree w the selections. My personal favorite apps are: Windows Live Search - its so convenient for looking up common numbers (restaurants, movie theatres, etc) Palringo - The best IM client Im still trying out RSS readers to pick my fave. Skype!!! This is by far the most used program on my phone. Mostly for text, though, to be honest. |

Ok guys, I recently installed FinchSync. I rather like the program and all, but there's a couple small problems. Here they are listed in order of importance from greatest to least. 1) It has created duplicates for EVERY SINGLE contact. How can I either a) delete all extra contacts, or 2) Small calendar problems - first it doesn't seem to like appointments without times. Also, EVERY...SINGLE...APPOINTMENT from FinchSync has a "Tentative:" in front of it. If BirdieSync wasn't $30+ I would buy it. I really like BirdieSync better, but it's expensive. However, if I can't remedy some of these problems, I may need to pay for it. Thanks! Athenon EDIT: Problem solved - I realized I had the full version of Microsoft Outlook installed - I'll just use that instead. |

Nope, no custom home screen or anything. I have a lot of programs, but I listed the only "weird" programs I run. i think the recall youre referring to is the one for the blackjack i607 not the i617. are you running a custom homescreen? i know with the one i have it'll show either none or 1 voicemail whether i have voicemail or not. havent figured out why though. if i switch to the regular ones it doesnt happen. |

Ok well, first of all let me say I've NEVER had signal problems where my phone is, and it's showing signal as being fine now. That being said, a) my voicemail icon NEVER goes away, Please help! I have no idea what's causing this. The only weird stuff I'm running is: CE-Star, TaskMgr (it's one of those cloaked GPS locator programs in case your phone gets stolen) and BirdieWatcher (thunderbird/sunbird syncing program). The only other thing I have to say is that I'm pretty sure all of this has been running without a problem before. EDIT: I closed ALL open programs and the voicemail icon went away, but I will have to wait to see if any of the other problems are fixed. Any insight is still VERY VERY VERY welcome! Please help! Thanks! Eric |

My only gripe is that I can't hear the other person (it's too soft), but her mic is known to be soft anyway so that might not be Skype's fault. |

My settings are in the quote below. One idea is that youre overclocking too much. Hey Athenon I'm getting some issues with Lockups and sound not working and then working and some games not loading etc. So what I'd like you to do is post all of your settings including your overclock speed just so I can get an idea where to start. Landscape or Portrait... Portrait Frame Skip Setting 5, NO AUTO FRAME SKIP Sound checkboxesand bitrate as well as quality tick mark setting. Sound Emulation and Sync Sound checked...8bit quality, lowest sample rate Overclock speed. none - mine isnt overclocked actually. i only overclock when i need to Anyone who has it working perfectly can post this I just need to make sure I'm not missing something. |

I recently started getting SMS Spam on my shiny new BlackJack II. Anybody know of a filter or other way of stopping it from using my messages? |

It seems to work ok - I went into Opera Mobile and told it to identify as a computer. The videos played, but they were extremely laggy. I went to youtube mobile and it worked fine, but I don't think the mobile version uses flash...heh |

Is it possible to get IRC to work on the BlackJack? I've looked around and tried stuff, but nothing seems to be working satisfactorily. My only real requirement is that it MUST support multiple rooms, and preferrably multiple servers...and it must be readable, but I think that goes without saying Thoughts? Ideas? |

There is a save state converter out there, I think it's on PocketSNES's main site, but I can't seem to find it. It's out there though. Yea you really need to overclock the phone for the games to run smoothly. I followed these steps and it worked pretty well. http://www.corynielsen.com/modifications-a...g-the-blackjack New Question: Does anyone know how to transfer saved games files from the phone back to the computer. Theres a part of chrono trigger that is really hard to do with the keys on the phone but I can't figure out how to transfer the saved game. Thanks -Kevin |

Ok guys, I have Skype...it works wonderfully. However, I would prefer the sound to come through the earpiece (the one that you use when you talk through the phone) instead of the speakerphone. Any ideas? |

I figured it out! When you bring up the wireless connection settings, the right soft button brings up a menu...and among those options are "Disconnect Cellular Data" - works great. Thanks guys! |

Yeah, and now somehow I've broken CE-Star. I uninstalled it and re-installed it, and now it won't work...it runs and all, but the special key combos don't work with the program. EDIT: I would consider buying it if I could get it to work First off, posting of warez is not permitted here, so you won't have any luck with that here. But it seems you're more asking for a free alternative? Unfortunately, from what I hear, CE-Star is the best, and possibly only option. The one other option would be to reflash the phone using a Windows Mobile for your locale/language. However, since no one has flashed the BJII yet, I wouldn't count on that happening anytime soon... |

Yeah, the problem with that is I think I have to turn the phone feature off completely then back on...but it's a temp fix, it'll work for now, better than rebooting phone. Thanks! You can disconnect the data part under settings. If you browse to the "connection" and then go to Wireless Manager youll see the bluetooth and phone connection buttons....if you are running a data connection it states it under the phone symbol....you can disconnect the data connection at this screen...... I know it's not a simple fix but it should save battery......... |

Ok, an actually original question (well, for this forum...maybe not for all the Modaco forums). I want Japanese and Chinese input and viewing support on my BlackJack II. I managed to get it with CE-Star (excellent program btw), but it's $25 and I won't use it enough to warrant the $25. Suggestions? Any of them? |
