This is how the 1st and 2nd apps looks like...

Check the third image animation

The third is your own choice (as I said in my last post).

QUOTE(Transform @ Aug 24 2008, 17:30) *
which splash screen does the first application install? what does it look like?
also, what is the second splash screen (windows mobile one) replaced with?

Use these applications...

1) First one is for your first spalsh screen (which displays the radio details in red, bottem right corner).
2) Second app is for your second and third splash screen (which will display after installing the HTC Smart Mobility logo).
3) Finally, the third app is to display your own picture/photo for the third splash screen.

BTW the first app needs flashing therfore I'd like to add Paul's comment "As with any flash process there is a slight danger of bricking if you were to do something silly part way through the flash - you do it at your own risk". I've done it several times after flashing ROMs and had no promlems at all.

laugh.gif You're so right!! XDA communities are so rude...if you ask a question without reading the whole 150 pages of post in a tread you'll get a vicious response telling you to read all the posts properly but I do agree with andrewkeith5, they're extrimely good for downloading stuff and looking for information.

Hi!

Im new to the boards, been lurking around for the past couple of weeks and eventually decided to take the plunge and get my first PDA. As the title suggests i got the Vario 3 which seems to be great so far, only problem im having is with tomtom 6.0.

Ive installed the software onto the pda from my memory card and i cant seem to get a valid gps signal? Im in an area were a stand alone tomtom would get a good signal so i dont think that is the problem. Any help or pointers or a walkthrough for setting up tomtom on a vario 3 would be greatly appreciated.

If it helps its on t-mobile, is running windows 6.0 and tomtom version 6.0.

Thanks in advance!

MS Voice Command is licensed software... you have to buy it.

I checked my version and its v1.60.4622.0.
It installed from an exe called "intlenglish.exe" - which is version 8.2.160.0
The File version was 1.60.4630.0

Don't know if any of this helps

Thanks.

Hi guys,
This update does not work with my phone. Everything seems ok, it even detects my old ROM version and starts the updating process but then says this at the end:

I THINK I get an un-branded HTC TYTN II P4550, no need to unlock and has dual cameras with the HTC logo on top.

I am new here but have done some readings and couldn't find the answer. Someone please help if you know the fix.

I've also registered to HTC e-CLUB but see no update downloads at all for my device. Anyone can point me to where else can I find link to download offcial release?

Thanks

That check box turns off data when the device is asleep (effectively disabling Direct Push while the device is in Suspend)

Won't fix your problem, and will stop you receiving emails unless the device is on

Yes, I had a feeling it was nothing to do with my problem.
Thanks.

Does anyone know how to switch on the voice contact announcement on L26's WM6.1 Diamond V9 ROM? All the names on my contacts are ticked in the build-in voice commander but I don't get a voice reading my contact when I get an incomming call. sad.gif

Is there another setting or tweak I'm not aware of?

If you tap the start menu and go down to setting, click on the phone icon, then scroll at the bottom over to data is the box ticked?

I can't see the data box to tick. I'm using L26's WM6.1 Diamond V9 ROM, I've only got Phone, Services, Network, Internet, PIN, PIN2, Time zone and more at the bottom after clicking the phone icon. sad.gif

Which ROM are you using?
L26's Diamond V9 for Kaiser

I have the opposite "problem" (it's the normal behaviour I think) where the device DOES wake up on a new SMS, but not on an email.
I don't want it to wake up for either.
Mine's doing the exact same thing but I'd like the phone to wake up when I receive an e-mail! (just like when I get a text message).

QUOTE
I've not been able to find anything positive, but I found a reg setting which may work (didn't seem to for me, but I'll try again)
No, not appropriate for what I want but thanks and please notify me if you come across a reg tweak for what I want.

Possible reg tweak

edit
Nope, I've set that registry setting again and it hasn't worked.
I'm using a Kaiser ROM though, and the setting was from a Diamond ROM IIRC

Hi All, wink.gif

I've just upgraded to a cooked ROM (again) from XDA Dev over the weekend and managed to get all my settings and tweaks for my Kaiser as I like it. The only thing I don't like is, when I receive an e-mail or a text message I noticed my device does not wake-up, it rings and vibrates (as I want it) but stays on sleep mode.

I was wondering if someone could please assist/point me to a tweak or setting I haven't figured out for it to come off sleep mode when I recieve a message?

Thanks in advance.

I bought this leather case from eXpansy with my discount from MoDaCo which still looks as new because I have 4 different cases for my Kaiser. The only thing with this case is, it makes your phone/device look a bit bulky. wink.gif

Actually, I spoke to T-Mobile technical department today regarding getting the T-zone web'n'walk home page back on my web browser after upgrading (for 4th time due to the unimpressed HTC's official WM6.1 ROM) to a cooked ROM. I asked the same gentlemen who help me connect onto the internet (2 weeks ago) and now today helped me get back the home page. I asked the very helpful man when the T-Mobile's ROM is going to be revealed, which he answered:

"Unfortuntately I can't give you an exact date but my colleagues are working on the T-Mobile's WM 6.1 ROM which will be announced very soon this year" .

I'm very excited and can't wait!! tongue.gif

Check the "Outgoing server requires authentication" in your e-mail setting within "edit account setup" because auto setup does not check this box for your imap/pop accounts.
