there was the same on my Samsung SGH-i320. I found somewhere the hint to visit the registry and somehow tell the phone not to use a sound. I'm sorry for not being more specific but I just can't remember where I found it or how it worked. It's some time ago.

I extracted MUSKATNUUSS from this very funny part of a really great french movie by Louis de Funes where he explains hoe to make his famous potatoe souflee. The movie is in French but de Funes talks Italian to his Italian clients and German with his German client, Dr Mueller. The funny thing is, that a shadow moves to his face while he explains. But see it for yourself here:

Now I got it. I have no idea how I made it, but it works, I can see everything now.

That was my first thought (after the bad words). It doesn't change a thing.

I thought so too. Even since My Documents and Application Data are quite important. I guess I have to copy all new files in some other directory ans then using some file manager on the phone to bring them wherever I need them.
Does anyone know hoe to fix this?

I updated to Vista a few days ago. The sync of calendar and phonebook worked well, better and easier than I thought.
But when I use the explorer to access the phone I can't find all folders. There are Documents and Settings, Program Files, ConnMgr and Temp. What I need would be My Documents and Application Data. Is there any way to access them? What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for your advice.

You have to be more specific. Which homescreens did you try? Do they require plug-ins you don't have? How did you install them? Were the homescreens you tried for Moto Q or weren't they in landscape resolution?

Great work! I use the plugin very often, it's a nice, simple and very elegant way to save battery without entering the menues. And the Bluetooth icon looks hot on a black/gray home screen. I integrated it in a landscape homescreen for my beloved i320.

I guess so. I tried several homescreens from the Q section. Q-columns for example. And some from Qusers.com, including itunes and zen, which seemed to work well on other user's Q, but not on my phone.

I tried to run a homescreen using the orangeplugin which I extracted from my good old c500. I installed it the way it was described in an earlier topic for WM5 phones. The installation routine seemed to have worked, resco explorer told me that the dll was registered.
Unfortunately the plugins which should be placed in the same row by the orange plugin are missing.
Is there anything I can do? Is anyone else (hopefully anyone more experienced on programming than me) having this problem?

The i320 has almost the same sice as the 30GB ipod. It doesn't have a clear window, it's just a leather case (it's the original. To be found in the ipod box).

Maybe I'm just too stupid to find the answer, I just found the question in several posts. Is there a way to "paint" the softkeys black in WM5? I tried to define black for TRAYGRADLEFT and RIGHT in the xml, but the grey remains. What did I do wrong?

Is there a possibility to shut off the shutdown sound? It's really annoying because it's so loud.
And these camera shutter sounds too, there are three of them and they all suck.
Can anybody help me?

The last bar should vanish when there are 20% of power left. What happens then is this: The screen becomes darker which saves the battery. Should give you a couple of hours more.

I'm using my i320 for a about two months (yes, this time when it comes to smartphones it was good to be swiss) and I really like it. The only things I don't like that much is the lack of innovative homescreens, but now that its spreading tis might change. The other thing is that our special letters in german ä, ö and ü are only to be found in the symbols menu. since t9 is useless when you have a complete keyboard I know the symbols menu now very well dry.gif

The keypad is 5-way.
Since I don't use picodrive or pocket snes I can't help you there. You can try some Moto Q forums. I think they checke ot ways to play on landscape.

I bought myself a really small Panasonic MP3 player with SD-card slot. It worked for a couple of years before the contacts finally stopped working. Then there was nothing comparable on the marked and I didn't wan't one of these USB-Sticks.
So it happened that a friend of mine sold his 4th generation Ipod with 40GB of memory. I bought it and I loved it. But unfortunately it crashed after 2 years and repairing it would be almost as expensive as a new one. Since I didn't have the money to get a new one I used my SE K750i as Music Player. And it worked well. Small, standard headphones and decent player software with playlist functions. Then it bugged me and I just had to go back to smartphones. And when I got my 8310 I used it as player. But let's be honest: since there are no buttons for the mediaplyer which work in locked mode, there's no way to go to the next song without taking the phone out of your pocket. So I saved some money and bought a ipod with video. It looks hot, it works great and the screen is not too small to watch movies.
So can I live without my ipod: no, no, no, never again. Ipod rocks!

I just found out about the problem: The SIM card seems to be too old for the phone, that's why the connections don't work.
I thought I missed some important point because of the new menu structure in WM5.

I'm looking for the settings for Orange Switzerland on a Mobile 5 device (8310). Can anybody help me? I found some settings here for 2003 devices, but they don't seem to work correctly.

I have a mix of Greenday, Hoobastank, Mando Diao, Garbage (the first CD), Franz Ferdinand and a selection of easy pop and rock sounds since this mix works best for me and my co-workers. But I try to change the songs once in a while. The only songs that endured over a year is Shivaree's Goodnight Moon from the Kill Bill 2 soundtrack. I just love it.

QUOTE(mupwangle @ Jul 6 2005, 14:29)
Nobody seems to have noticed the obvious error - the M500s dimensions are listed as about 6cm by 2cm by OVER A METRE!!!!

New Orange M500 - also useful as a backscratcher.

My brother told me that he thinks it's too big for a phone. biggrin.gif
Maybe he has seen these specs.

I think I'll be waiting for a couple of weeks before I decide. But since my contract expires in august I think I decide on what we know then about the C600.

I'm in contract situation until 8/20/05.
My thoughts are: first it was may, then june, now july (for England). Since I live in Switzerland (where a lot of things happen even more slowly) it might still be fresh on the market when I can get it! biggrin.gif

Laboratory Technician in an Environmental Department of the City of Berne/Switzerland. Means analyzing soil, mudd, sewage sludge, waste water and lots of other disgusting things.
Since I've had enough of chemistry in the last ten years I'm going to a university to study law. Which is also about mudd and disgusting things ;-)
