I have my c500 installed under core 4 using synce and multisync for sync with evolution (outlook 4 linux )

I used to have my e200 connected and using a "kio" slave for konquerer i could put files etc. on the phone

Search google for c500 synce linux. There is a french page explaining how to do it ( i translated it to english using the fish)

I did do the hexedit last night, It worked , running the uk rom now ..

I tried the method of downgrading to the english rom from the french rom as stated on mobinet site.
but to no avail.

I have a dutch c500 from Orange

upgraded to french latest rom using nbftool and modified the headers of the nbf

now i emergancy flashed my bootloader with the UK last rom bootloader
and try to upgrade to lastest UK rom (the is no dutch rom afaik).

but I get the following errors:

when the phone is in normal operational mode (switched on):

ERROR 240: File Open

when in bootloader mode:

ERROR 294: Invalid vendor ID

what do I have to do to get back to a previous rom?
I think I have to edit the ROMUpdateUtility.exe util
am I correct ?

I want to use TOMTOM on my phone

hm... I updated from dutch version to french version earlier this week

but now i want to go to english (i think tomtom works with the latest english rom, and there is no dutch orginal rom)

but get Upgrade only error,

i've edited the rom file, removed operator line, even tried to alter the 4.2.2.1 number into something else, but to no avail ....

my c500 is NOT simunlocked, I believe herein lies my problem, am i correct?

but will it be possible to update to the (official) about to release Dutch upgrade rom?
or is this not certain to say atm?

I have the idea that de french rom doesn't perform that well on my phone,
in contrast to other reports on this board, i have bad , crappy reception !

it works, it charges!! no need to buy a seperate car charger Yeah!

Hi,

i bought a rikaline 6030 Bluetooth GPS unit.
It comes with a car charger, the thing that goes into the cigarette lighter has a usb connector.

Is it possible to connect my cradle to this in order to charge my e200
in my car? or will i destroy it because the voltage etc?

Is it possible to use this rom on a dutch spv e200 with rom 2.6.3.3?
Would it make a difference? Does the swedish rom have the
sms confirmation switched on by default?

this would be a reason for me to upgrade ..
How do I have to perform the upgrade? I have bootloader 1.0.7 on my phone ..
