I bought my BJ2 refurbished for 50 dollars from att, ive been having the warrent plan on it, and im now coming to somei ssues with mp3's not playing... highly doubtful its related, but nonetheless http://www.modaco.com/content/samsung-i617...mp3s-dont-play/ thast the issue, but on another note, are there any thing comments/feelings you guys have about refurbished smartphones? the case/screen were in perfect condition, what exactly does the manufacturer do when they refurbish phones? and where do they get the phones to refubish? |

well all my contacts are backed up in outlook, so thats not a problem, just blah, the gps activator thing, and the reg tweaks for the sms message notification ill have to search for again, i compared the reg. to my oem one, and it found some 730 differences, but alot has changed, and no signifigant differences in windows media player part. i think im going to try to do a little more diggins around to see if there is ANYTHIGN i may be able to find, but ill probably ahve to end up w/ a hard reset. |

They will not play. i cant set mp3 ringtones any more, it just defaults back to the att tone. it also pops up a message saying "This ringtone file is corrupted or unavailable. Please choose a different ring tone" wow. i just found out even if i try to set any other ringtone it still says the same error message(even if i select the att ringtone) so that sparked my curiosity, and the mp3's play in tmcore player. and windows media player dosent even open at all, no error message, just does not open. ive done two soft resets, but it still dosent work. any ideas? solutions? |

opra mini sucks, its fast at loading pages, but when i try to login to anything it just repops up to the login screen QUOTE How can you access Facebook's Full Site. I try in PIE to click on Full Site and it takes me to Facebooks login screen but when I enter my credentials and press login the page load shows 0kb and I am still stuck on the login screen! The only problem is that now the Login button is disabled even though it is still visible. So you cannot click on it again to try to login. It might have to come to a point where I may have to download a new IE like OperaMini but I would like to find out which one works best first. LAWL a new browser* IE = internet explorer, aka a product of microsoft. |

Whenever I try to sync my phone with outlook this message is alerted...cannot synchronize with the Outlook profile you are using, because a different profile was previously set up or the profile is password-protected. Please open Outlook using the appropriate profile. I need help, I really want my info to be on my computer so if something happens to my phone, I have backup. Thank you so you mainly use your outlook on your phone? and not your pc? most people have the pc as the base, and sync the phone to the pc. but everyone's not the same. first off, did it sync before? |

Hi, I am new to the blackjack II and still trying to learn how to use all the functions the phone has. I keep running into a problem with the mobile office excel program, it does not allow me to do anything and if I create anything on my PC then transfer it to my phone it comes up read only with no way to change it. Can anyone point me in the right direction or at least tell me what I am doing wrong? click menu(right soft key) and then click edit. edit it to your liking. then click menu again, then hit file>save as then renamed it w/o the (1) (thats if you want to overwright the org file so you dont have duplicates with your new changes. |

I'd been thinking about this and I'm glad the question was asked. I deleted some text (on the line mentioned above) awhile back, but left <carrier/>, so I ended up with a little "AT&T" underneath the Time on Samsung Calendar...I would think that I'm doing something right. But after seeing this post, I tried removing <carrier/> as mentioned above, and it's still not working for me - the file is not listed as an option. Even after restoring <carrier/> to the line, the file is not listed. Properties has shown that my re-saved/re-named files have been XML files and, "Read Only" is not checked... Help, please? im not sure what you mean or even did, because it seems like you didnt even follow instructions, you were suposed to remove </carrier> nothing else. this is what you do. find your home screen xml, then pull it over to your desktop, via copy. then right click, then go to properties, and uncheck "read only" then open it in notepad, then edit it to go from (pic number one) to pic number 2 then renamed it to something else, i.e. somethingelse.home.xml (only change the first part) then put it back to read only,a nd drag it back to your aplication data/home dir and you should see two of one type of home screen, the org one and it will most likey be the second one of the two of the same type (to change the name that is shown, i think its somewhere in the xml, but i havent found it yet, im sure someone could tell us) this should help, i hope |

not to mention, that feature is on the network side, so if a number would call upon it, w/o a subscription, it wouldnt work, (or at least it would seem that way) and yeah, no one would go through the trouble to create that size of a database for such an application with out a sufficent charge. i remember on my old non smart phone, you could just call a number, then some stupid ryan seacrest(sp?wtf) and then you could just put the phone by the speaker, and it would send you a text with the song name, and it only was like 40 cents? or something around that price, so it was a pay per use basis. but i havent used it on my bj2 yet, so idk, but i could probably get the number if you like to maby try that way (ok found it) its #43, then hit the send button |

Awesome find Soadrocksever! When I hard reset my phone, it was new and I didn't have much on it. Now I'd hate to have to hard reset over something like this. what you could do, is, if your registry is in a good state, use CeRegeditor and backup your registry, and if you have any problems, instead of a hard reset you can just swap the working reg back, it might not ALWAYS fix your issues, but in this case it would have.... well now that i think about it, ceRegeditor has the ability to spot the diferences in two registry files, so a simple scan of that, would have yielded the same results as what that guy posted(but of course, i didnt even think of it lol so i was kinda worried until i finaly found it) |

Probably is registry related. When I first started fumbling with the GPS I installed Microsofts GPSID thingy, which seemed to work. Later I installed the hack here and then my GPS totally shut off, even after I uninstalled both. I ended up hard resetting to fix the problem. Now I just use the hack here. sigh, so yeah everything was good on my end, gps test and google maps worked fine, then i installed the gpsid settings thing, and now i have no gps funtionality.... i uninstalled gpsid, but to no avail, any ideas? |

in active sync, go to explore my device, then open your mobile device's home directory. then open up application data, then the home folder, and the home skins are in there (thanks nottach) but sadly, when i changed </carrier>(used in context of "<text></carrier></text>" to a string of text(My name) it didnt work... |
