QUOTE(Sed8ed @ May 7 2008, 23:18) *
No.....it wont work...last version for smartphone was Tom Tom 5.....newer maps wont work with it. Garmin is better IMO.....it takes some getting used to but works flawlessly. The map drawing could be better (has a delay of half second while scrolling/moving) but is totally useable. Hopefully Garmin will amend this in the future.........but for me it's still a one device solution. I used Tom Tom on my 8525 and it was aslo a great app.....but the BJII cant take advantage of it and I would rather have some GPS over none.

Apparently Tom Tom 6 can be used but you need a cursor input application....these are buggy at the best of times. I am still glad I dont have to carry my BT GPS around.
Garmin is it I am afraid for the BJII for a while (voice guided anyway)...

i just got tomtom 6 working on my q9h that i am testing..boy what a mess that program is without a touch screen.
i cant do any text input for addresses or anything because the number buttons wont change to letters and up and down is mapped to volume up and down so i cat naviage through menus...SOME configuration screens can be selected by pressing 1 2 3 etc for that option, but not the one to choose what com port it is using,s o i had to edit the configuration file and change com4 to com5 and the gps worked great! its very crippled without a touchscreen so i think i may ditch the q9h for my another tilt.

Long time ago i had edited out this wav file from a Futurama episode of the Professors new mail notification sound and have used it for the new mail on my computer and wm phone since then.

Its a cha-ching sound then a voice saying You've got mail, its not spam, cha-ching....It gets a laugh from someone near me everytime it goes off biggrin.gif
