Looking for suggestions. I have the 6.1 update and changed the reg key to allow for ICS. I am now able to connect through ICS under the Media Net setting. Unfortunately I cannot connect through the browser. Looking for any suggestions. I have the default 0.2 on the computer and 0.1 on the phone. Thanks for any help. Even though I connect, it seems as though the data is obviously not going through. Do I have to add another connection or edit the media net settings in order for this to work? |

Looking for a little help. I am all of the sudden having problems syncing through the usb cable. I have not problem syncing via bluetooth, but when i connect the phone is tries to sync and just quits after a while. Nothing really changed from when i could use the cable and could not. The latest programs I installed were a blackberry bold theme and the entry to allow large mp3 files as my ringtone. I was using the ICS through the cable for about two weeks and then one day it would just not sync again. The cable still charges the phone, so I assume it should still be good. I reinstalled the program on Vista with only the same results. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

Use ONLY the following setup/configuration: Start - Settings - Connections - GPRS: MEdia Net (delete any other connections!) Connects to: The Internet Access Point: wap.cingular Username/Pass: (leave blank) Auth Type: CHAP Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0 Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0 IP Address: (leave blank) Then go to Start - Settings - Connections - Proxy: AT&T WAP (delete any other connections!) Connects From: The Internet Connects to: WAP Network Proxy: wireless.cingular.com:80 Type: HTTP Username/Pass: (leave blank) There is only one other possible variation that would work: Start - Settings - Connections - GPRS ISP (delete any other connections!) Connects to: The Internet Access Point: isp.cingular Username: ISP@CINGULARGPRS.COM Password: CINGULAR1 Auth Type: CHAP Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0 Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0 IP Address: (leave blank) With this set, you must then go to Start - Settings - Connections - Proxy and DELETE ALL PROXIES (or reconfigure them to not map to the isp connection). Hope this helps. thanks for the info. you could not have made it easier. i will be relying on this for service while at military training down in mississippi. any tips on getting a BT pan driver for Vista. This did not install as an available service. Thanks again for the help. |

works now but pretty slow. i am not getting near the posted speeds on full signal 3g. the only connections are wap and medianet. when i connect using ics, the laptop works but is unresonably slow. using vista, midianet is the only way i can stay connected. is this what i have to work with or is there another way? |

does anyone know how to share internet through PC to their phone? either through bluetooth or cable. im one of those poor slobs who does not have a data plan and some of the things i want to do requires internet through the phone. until the micro wifi card comes out, i have to use the old copy over method. im not putting all my money on the micro card anyway, i cant imagine the range will be worth anything. thanks. |

The above didn't work for you? I have used it on several occassions to get an old/unused icon off my screen (just did it yesterday for an application I had uninstalled). The key is just running a bunch of applications you don't normally run (that aren't on the icon list already) so they put themselves on the list and slide everything else off the list. yeah, i got it now. thanks for the response. i was not using programs that i used before. |

Looking at your screen shot, it looks like that icon is part of Facade's program buttons (#5, perhaps?). If so, I guess that Facade doesn't remove icon buttons after the application has been deleted? Try opening Facade, go to Menu, Launcher, Buttons, and change the program the particular button will activate. the icon is there no matter what today screen i use. it was there before i applied the current display or even installed the cab that included the non-plugin facade. |
