Looks cool I will call them to find out if it fits into a i617 but if you have one how do you get it to display the video, does it happen automatically after plugging in the cable to the phone or does it require user intervention? |

Can you have multiple KVMs on one phone JBLEND + JBED, I have a Samsung Blackjack 2 with JBLEND pre-installed but would also like to try out JBED. Could you post the details in getting this installed? Also at the moment when a jar file is clicked it is installed and associated with JBLEND directly. If I do get to install JBED as well, how will the association change and is it possible to mix and match MIDlets with KVMs? If these questions are irrelevant or stupid please advise. |

Actually I have tried Opera Mini 4.1 and it is not that bad and I can access the Facebook full site and view all pictures in high quality (full size). However what happens now is if I try to open an image and save it I get this exception: "Error javax.microedition.io.Connector.file.read was denied" I believe that this was an issue with MIDlets not being signed but Opera states that they have started signing their MIDlets I am still searching on the web to find a solution to this problem. Just don't have much time to do so right now so I would appreciate if someone who has already gone through this headache to post the steps or to point to a thread which explains what must be done. |

I already have but they have not contacted me yet for their latest release of SkyFire browser. If you happen to have the previous release I wouldn't mind looking at it though For the time being however I need an alternative! |

Could you explain how you were able to play a divx video in detail. Also if you are willing to pay for a media player you can get Nero Mobile (Retail Price US $14.99) which has "Complete support for MPEG-4 SP/ASP, H.264/AVC and Nero Digital™ video". Check it out online at http://www.nero.com/enu/mobilepro-features.html. For me this application did not function that well so I removed it from my phone but if you want to give it a try for yourself now you have the info. Hope this helps. |

Does anyone know if there is a USB to Audio/Video cable for the Samsung Blackjack 2? If so how can we output the screen through this cable to another display (is there a button or something)? I have portable small dvd player and it would be cool if I could hook up BJII to watch You Tube and other stuff off of it. |

How can you watch embedded media on a BJII. By this I am not talking about watching YouTube but rather sites that are like MovieSister (for lack of a better example). I have tcpmp player to be able to watch YouTube videos. I also have Flash Lite 2.1 installed - this however does not make a difference as it does not support content not intended for mobile phones. |

So here are some updates to my issue for anyone interested. I have installed the RDP client that "Mikeeey" posted about, on this thread: http://www.modaco.com/content/smartphone-s...ay-around-with/. I was also successful at getting SPHelper to work which emualtes a mouse pointer for me to use on the remote desktop session. ![]() (Taken and edited from Mikeey's post) I also posted a comment on using SPHelper on "Mikeeey"s Thread which basically mentioned that if someone uses the SPHelper mouse pointer to navigate the Remote Desktop and they enter the green navigation pane (shown in above image) to browse to a different section of the remote desktop then they cannot escape from this segment without moving the remote desktop as well if their mouse pointer is somewhere in the center of this navigation pane. This is due to the fact that the RDP application was intended for PPC's with a touchscreen so the user would have had the ability to tap and drag instead of hover over a field with the mouse I have still not found a solution to my VPN problem and am really curious to how I will manage to get this to work. I also have another problem which is related to the VPN connection and the RDP client: If I had setup a correct VPN connection, then how can I choose to use the VPN Connection to connect to a remote desktop (inside the VPN) instead of using the Internet Connection (which will fail to resolve the ip-address)? Any help with this would be much appreciated. |

I paired the BJII to my car however when I recieve or place a call, during the conversation with that person (Not to be confused with three-way calling this scenario is just a basic A to B (or B to A) call), I hear my own echo in the transmit. When I ask the other side of how my voice quality is they say it sounds like its coming from a tunnel (hall effect). However if I switch to use handset mode and then back to use headset (connects back to the car) the issue gets resolved and the voice quality improves. Anyone have any ideas why this might occur? I did not have this problem with my previous Motorola Razr In fact another issue I see is: The car used to display signal strength and battery life for the Razr however for the Blackjack the signal strength is always 0 even though the phone is showing full bars, same goes for the battery I think the issue is in the Bluetooth version being used that is causing the problem. I had purchased the Razr when it initially came out so the Bluetooth S/W version on it is much older then on my BlackJack. Any help on this topic would be much appreciated. Technical replies are welcome. |

I got this working on Blackjack 2 and I am using SPHelper to emulate the mouse. However my problem is I can't escape from the lower right-hand (green) navigation pane if the mouse pointer is in the center of it. Let me just try to clarify this: In the RDP client on the lower right hand corner their is a Green color navigation pane, which I guess on a touch screen phone this would be used to see all the areas of interest of the remote desktop when tapped at a location in this pane; now for those of us without the priviledge of a touch screen who use virtual cursors, scroll our mouse pointer into this field to navigate to various locations of the remote desktop. If we are located at the dead center of this green navigation pane with a virtual cursor there is no way to escape out of it without shifting the screen that is being displayed in one direction (either all the way up,down, left or right). The inability to tap is what is causing this disadvantage. If the user has the ability to tap then he could first tap on the center of this navigation pane and then work on the section currently being displayed for the remote desktop. I hope I was able to convey the dillema clearly and wish that there is a solution to this. |

To stop the display from turning on when connected to bluetooth. A little back story is that when i connect to my laptop via bluetooth, the screen black light goes on aobut every 300 seconds, is it possible to stop this? Go to settings->power management-> Change backlight time out on battery to any value in the list. If connected to the charger then change the value in Backlight time out on AC |

On the BJII the rotational D-Pad is a good feature when you want to scroll relatively slow through something. However is there a way on the IE to scroll to the very bottom of the entire content or a way to navigate page by page with-out the need to scroll down? This would truely speed up searches or the need to choose a link which is at the very bottom of the page |

I have a few questions on VPN configuration and Remote Desktop application for the BlackJack 2 i617 1. I setup a VPN connection thru Settings -> Connections -> VPN -> add new However the only two methods of authentication I see for IPSec authentication are Pre-Shared Key and Certificate what would you have to do if you need to configure a group security authentication via a Group ID and Group Password where the Group Security Credentials is setup to use Group Password Authentication. (During the setup of VPN I chose connect from "the Internet" and chose for connect to "Work") I believe this is the source of my connection failure as everytime I try to connect to a site behind the VPN connection the phone shows a message which says: "Error - The remote party has ended this connection." (On IE before connecting I choose Work as my connection) 2. I had found a remote desktop application while searching online which shows a small navigation to the lower right hand corner of the display which allows the user to navigate the whole desktop but I believe this was built for touch screen pda's as I was unable to see anywhere other then upper left corner of my desktop during the remote desktop connection. I have heard about a virtual mouse application to navigate on apps like this but had no success in getting it working. I do want a VNC like remote desktop where I have to install something on my phone and remote machine as I think this is useless Does anyone know of an app that handles the remote desktop connections for non-touchscreen phones preferrably that also can handle higher color resolutions. |

After a hard reset will you need to install the other third-party applications that were installed on the phone? Such as: tcpmp google maps xpress mail ICS ... I have backups of these apps since i sync via active sync 4.5 to pc but the installation procedure for some of these are long and would hate to re-do everything from scratch. |
