An even easier method (at least this works on my Samsung Blackjack) is: Start Menu > Settings > Connections > Bluetooth > My Information Setting On that screen, enter the desired name where it says, "Device Name." Thank you, thank you. It was good to finally find someone who did not automatically assume that anyone reading these posts wants to or is comfortable editing the registry and what-not. I changed it back using the above menu. It must be the only place I did not look. It's not really logical since I'm using a USB connection with both machines, but whatever. Now when I get back to the house and hook it back up to the Vista laptop, we will see what happens. |
