Hi All,
Well, still can't find Email Wizard on Orange's site but never mind. For those people however that dio want to directly access their AOL mail then WAP works great. Just log into AOL, select AOL Mobile from thier menus, select relevant phone (or if not listed - other type) and then follow instructions for the WAP link given as this is you full sign-in code needed for your mail box. Once done, keep that noted in full. Now go to phone and select Internet Explorer, from menu button then slecct "Add favourite", Give it a name, type in the link in full given by AOL, store. Provided you have GPRS and WAP enabled and set up then heypresto it should go to sign in when selected, then once signed in come up with AOL Mobile menu options, including read mail. Hope that helps someone. Millbrook |

Hi Lucas,
Ok will try to take some photos a bit later. If it's charging etc that you need then why not do a search on Ebay - just look for "E200". There are loads of people doing sync cables, mains charges etc at cheap prices eg mains charger that plugs straight into phone around £6-00 icluding P&P, sync cables for about same + other odss and ends. The E100 charge will also fit E200 so you could also try a search for "E100" too. I found the best thing that I ever did when I got my E100 was invest in the SPV Keyboard as this is handy for travel, text messages etc and when plugged into mains charge also acts as phone charge too. The only additional thing you need then is the adpater plug if you want to charge the phone direct as this changesd from round pin fitting to flat pin fitting for phone port and aomething to sync the phone with if you want to use cable connection. Hi,
Thanks guys. Yep, ringtone is in .wav and was fine on E100. Phone just refuses to see it on ringtone list. Will take another look in Sync to see if I can convince it of file being there. Thanks for the tip about MIDI files. Re AOL. - thought that might still be the case. Never mind should be able to get around that via WAP as I know I can do this via their online Wap option for mail. Re: Email Wizard. Strange - read the other post and despite doing an Orange update yesterday with the phone for applications, ROM etc it didn't give me the option of this one anywhere. Will have another look on their site and see if I can find it. Will also have another look at e-mail options too. Regards Millbrook |

Ok, folks.
more questions Looking through the manual for the E200 I should have something called EmailWiz on the phone. No matter how hard I look I cannot find it ! I can only assume previous user has removed from menus for some reason. How do I get this back on the phone please ? Secondly, does anyone here use AOL and managed to get their mail to work on SPV phones (without using outlook or seding on to orage etc, etc) ? I tried on my old E100 but never did work it out. With regards to ringtones can anyone tell me how to add these on ? I downloaded the one again that I had on my old phone, followed same as I did last time i.e. used sync to put the file in "Sounds" but the phone just insn't seeing it. Is this the right folder or do i need to put it somewhere else ? Thanks Millbrook :? |

Ok,
sussed the Active Sync so now have keyboard and latest updates, including the latest ROM one (2.7....) for the E200. However, looked at link above and can't see how this relates to E200. If anyone can give me a fuller breakdown that would be much appreciated as need to at very least sim unlock so that I can use vodaphone, Virgin, O2. Took a quick look at the link to the French site but was not sure if this works on latest Rom Updated phones. Would also like to software unlock as well. All help appreciated. Millbrook |

Hi Lucas.
Can't help much with this other than to say that the back of my Syc cradle says this: 5V DC supply and 1A followed by +ve, line joined to dot in part circle (open side on positive side) with another line coming off the part circle follwed by -ve to indicate polarity (ca never remeber which way round that's supposed to represent !) Hope that helps. Millbrook |

Hmmm.
Will check that out later tonight but o/h thinks he ahs already done this via the USB connection and PC. I know I got a message come up when I was trying to get the PM to work and phone was defineitly not connected to anything at the time. I think it read somehting like "need to disable PC mail ....." and the recommended action was to connect to Syn but just said go ahead by pressing the "next" option and then this was acitvated. Can't think for the life of me now how I got to than point. #-o |

O/H is peeved now 'cos he can't get it to work on his phone Had a quick look as his phone doesn not have the "email option" active. It is greyed out. I know I vaguely remember finding this somewhere on my phone and think I disable PC email. I assume this is why his Data settings are different in that WORK is set to none available and no other options either :?: |

Ok, getting there. Can now send BUT, person receiving end (also with same phone and set-up but with Orange World) does not get the picture etc. all they get is a txt message stating go and view at "http........" on oranges website and then the message password etc. How do I get the picture direct onto their phone (or is this dependant upon phone etc) ? Note: Their phone is also set up under data connections as: Internet - orange GPRS Work - None available ( he tends to connect to everything via Active Sync and online PC) Wap - Orange GPRS Sec Wap. - None. hope that makes sense. Thanks  |

Big thank you again - be owing you a few beers at this rate  Will give that a try a bit later on. I did wonder about the password bit but the Orange support wanted it in. Still don't understand why though it chages the entry of Multimedia to 16 characters from that entered. Hmmmmmmm. Fingers crossed |

Hi all,
Can anyone give me a clue here ! I have sim-unlocked, de-certed etc and recently got GPRS enabled and thanks to the help of Martin on here got this all working fine after manually editing the settings and chaing up Orange with the Genabling of GPRS. Decided now to give Orange's picture messaging a go but can't get the damned thing to work in or out  I went up the local Orange shop, spent almosat 1/2 hour in the shop on the phone talking through all the settings but STILL no joy and set no differently anyway than already had set :-{ I am now awaiting a tech. call from Orange. One thing I have noticed is that no matter what you enter for the password part of GPRS or MMS the phone still automatically resets it back to ?????? 16 characters long ! I have tried several times now to keep it to "Multimedia" but it still resets. Is this something that happens to everyone else or is the problem ? I can't see any logical reason for the phone to do this. Orange shop man tried to see if I could recieve but his message came up as "Downloading" then "Transfer Failed". Going the other way, my message c/w photo and sound goes happily to GPRS stage and then "Sending MMS" and starting to send before then aborting and giving error message and placing file into Draft box. Sim is PAYG Orange. HELP ! |

Hi Martin,
Many thanks for all of your efforts. At least I know I am know part way there and learnt mroe about setting this phone up that I did. Been making good use of a lot of aspects of the SPV but not this side yet. If GPRS is enabled, then I assume that the settings are sent as a text and then should be up and running and can ignore the WAP side ?? Trawling the other thread and printing off the useful bits relating to Orange and Vodaphone and also noting the O2 stuff and T-Mobile as partner has a t-mobile card. As to the WAP, think you may have resolved (need to try) - the Orange and Multimedia are without capitals so will try again. |

Thank Martin, that's brilliant.
Well, tried to go via Orange's website to set up the GPRS but low and behold, because I'm PAYG the 156 option form phone does not work. No joy trying 450 (PAYG) number so went back to website and found a link to get GPRS settings sent to the phone. This was sent to me after about 10 minutes BUT, still no joy so guess I have to still get orange to enable it so looks like a walk up town later to Orange shop. Played around with some settings this morning before reading this and managed to get the "G" next to network signal so guess I'm part way there. Still coucldn't get connection though for dial up but then did pick Orange Wap not CDS Wap. Now entered all of the above (and now also understand a lot more about the other thread - many thanks) but get "Login error". The password part had a really long one pre-set which I wiped and set to Multimedia so has this changed ? Also, one menu asked for Domain ?? On the other User Name and Password ?? (this does not appear to be my orange account info) Ideas ? Thanks. |

Hi Martin.
Nope, no G so guess I need to give orange a call and get the GPRS enabled. The sim is PAYG which I've had for a while now as didn't want to be tied into a contract + in my area signal for networks varies a lot so hence having unlocked the phone. All I need now is to find a sim doubler like I used to have on the V50 ! Make life a lot easier. Think i will have to get my V50 back off my partner for now too just to get the wap links for my AOL account and see if they work. AOL don't have this phone on their list for WAP so that could be the next fun as don't really want to redirect everything via Orange mail. |

Hi Martin,
Currently I'm looking to set up primarily for Orange and then Vodaphone. Took a look at that thread but must admit got lost. Presumably I need the GPRS first so need to get Orange to sort this out via 156 ? |
