Hi,i havent currently got it installed on mine but if u change the view from the radar to the list,i think you just hold down stylus and select connect.I cant be too sure though.Im not sure if this program was causing mine to white screen at turn on.Loads of free networks though, usually belkins.

Wififofum doesnt allow you to connect to wireless networks, you can only find them.
First you should enable Wifi, then use Wififofum to find wireless networks near you then you have to go into Settings, Connections, Network Cards, Wireless and connect to the wifi network you want there.

Is it just a matter of low supplies or is there a reason they have hooked it from the website and hardly any shops are stocking it?

I hope they dont up the price when it comes back on sale on the web.
I was just about to buy it.

sorry for my ignorance, but is this new phone a Pocket PC?
I already have a XDA II and and old SPV e200.
I quite fancied buying the T-Mobile Vario but if this is better I might hang on a while.
I have TomTom for Pocket PC , thats why im asking.

Has anyone had their faulty E200 Action key fixed under warranty only to find that the new one's paint wears away after a couple of weeks?

My phone looks crap now with a silver Action Key and a big black circle in the middle of it

edited for swearing

While scrolling down thru my Contacts with the action key sometimes the down action doesnt works and it performs a right action and it messes up all my contacts.
Also playing games is hopeless now, for instance Rick Dangerous, because you try to move down and you end up moving right.
Has anyone else had this, ive had my e200 for about 6 months now and its only just started happening.

Recently i installed an Alarm Plugin after reading about it on msmobiles.com:
http://www.msmobiles.com/news.php/3259.html

I tested it out to go off at 9:00 am and it did, but since then i have the Alarm set to off but it still goes off at 9am.
I even tried making the alarm go off at a different time, which it did , then setting the alarm to off but again this morning the alarm went off at 9:00.
Is there any way i can stop this without doing a hard reset???

TIA

Doug

There is no mention of it on the orange webpage.
Should i backup my phone before running it?
Will i have to reinstall everthing after updating?

TIA

Can anyone tell me how i get past this section
No matter how many times i always get hit by the arrows.

I watched the animation on http://www.deconstruction.f9.co.uk/rick/demos.htm

but when i play it i get a third arrow that zaps me.
Is it possible on the e200?

Also previous to this map when i went up the ladders to collect the jewel the game crashes every time. so i just skipped collecting it.

When i first saw this i thought it would allow me to stream mp3s across bluetooth from my PC to my phone. Upon installing it i found that it only allows me to control playing mp3s on my PC!
Grrr!
Is there phone software that allows me to browse songs on my pc and stream them across.
Someone posted something about Apache webserver but didnt say how or what was done.

No... just tell them youve bought a load of accessories for your SPV, like a carkit or summin, so a P800 would be useless!

Im on an Orange contract (120 mins a month any time any provider).
If im piggybacking my broadband internet connection over bluetooth how can i be sure that im not dialing into WAP or using GPRS.

I had a look at the Call Timers on my phone and it reported that Data Calls was 08:06, now i dont recall making any data calls as ive just been using my Bluetooth connection to browse the net.

Does this 08:06 signify a WAP dial up connection as a GPRS connection would surely be measured on the amount of data downloaded and not time. I checked my Call History list and the only numbers dialled in the list are tel. numbers.

GPRS on Orange is well expensive so i dont want to incur any charges for that.

When i phoned Orange about it the guy told me he couldnt check on this 8m6s call until the next bill date (next month). ( i think this is crap)

Now i have internet over bluetooth working is it possible to browse WAP sites using IE?
If i type in a url ie wap.yahoo.co.uk it errors?
It would be nice if this worked as i cannot read Yahoo Mail using the regular web site. I just get connection errors after logging in.

After a lot of sweat and tears i got it to work with my MSI PC2PC dongle
The dongle came with the wrong driver cd so I downloaded the latest drivers (Version: 1.4.2.10) from MSI website

http://www.msi.com.tw/index.htm

Nothing i did would make the damn thing connect. So on one last attempt before sending it back i uninstalled the whole MSI Bluetooth software, downloaded the previous version (Version: 1.3.1), installed that and it worked a tread, first time!

Here are the steps.

Run the setup.exe and install the software
When it asks plug in the dongle to complete installation
Set BT to discoverable on the phone
Pair the dongle with the phone from the PC
From the phone set BT to ON
From ActiveSync on the PC set the COM port to COM4 (in my case)
Again on the phone goto ActiveSync, Menu, 4 Connected va Bluetooth

Bingo, a connection

I did NOT have to mess around connecting serial ports on the PC withing BT neighbourhood, as long as the device is paired thats enough
When using the old drivers i noticed the serial ports were COM6 and COM7 but using the old drivers it changed to COM3 and COM4

Plus it works all round the house so i can browse the net using my Broadband connection over BT

Hope someone finds this useful

Having failed miserably  to ActiveSync over bluetooth with an MSI PC2PC bluetooth dongle could people who have managed to get theirs to work post what Make/Model they have and what kinda range they get (open air / thru walls) etc

I can then decide what type to buy next when my MSI one goes back and i get a refund!

many thanks

aaaaaggggghhhh, no joy at all, its going back , bought it from ebuyer so i think i can get me money back and buy a good one like a Linksys with antenna so hopefully it will give me better coverage.

i tried to beam a file using Smart Explorer and that failed too so i think it might be BT related

This gets wierder!!!!

I now have within Entire BT NeighboorhoodSmartphone
a Serial Port COM6 on Smartphone, the strange thing is that when i do properties it says its using COM4
Anyway this connects ok and i get the 2 green arrows icon and it says Connected

so far so good.

Within Activesync's Connection Settings I have enabled COM4.

Now on the odd occasion Active Sync bursts into life and the ActiveSync icon turns green and starts spinning. If i open up Activesync it says Connecting but it never does and eventually errors saying it couldnt make a connection. A bit later my Serial Port COM6 on Smartphone disconnects!

 waaaaggghhh

Anyone :?:

Anyone got a link for the fix of this problem.
I get the same thing , only the SSA and Voice Gateway services available

If i plug in an old Nokia 7650 i get Serial Port, Fax, DUN etc so i know its not my MSI bluetooth dongle.

Much appreciated

Doug

meant to say, its an e200 i have
