End of 2008? Getting to be too-little-too-late? I just don't get how it wasn't done a few months after the iPhone demonstrated how web browsing should be. Hell, even the Wii browser beats the speed and inconvenience I suffer on my Vario III.

What does it matter if you've got 2G or 3G if the results can't be rendered anyway?

It is no trivial task developing a web browser, let alone a mobile browser, which is used on a very wide variety of devices. Apple has the luxury of developing software as well as their own hardware. It's also a little unfair to compare the Wii browser to a smartphone browser. However kudos to Apple for setting the standard with their iphone web browser.

This rocks! Who would have thought that Sprint would be the #1 CDMA carrier in picking up all these new Windows Mobile devices. You figure Verizon would get these first, as they did with the Moto Q. I do a decent amount of web browsing on my Mogul and the 640x480 resolution would be a huge improvement. The 128 megs of ram is a no brainer addition and having a flush screen makes finger only operation so much nicer. I was psyched for the Sony Xperia X1 because of the hardware, but I am even more excited for the new HTC Diamond, especially with the new HTC Manilla interface. The Sony panels look nice, but seem gimmicky, imho.

I remember seeing an issue like this before but I can't seem to find it...

Every since I flashed my 8500 with the 3125 rom, the sounds, whether it's my ringtone or system sounds is off. The pitch or speed of the sounds (not quite sure how to describe it) is faster than it should be. This applies to both the sounds on my phone itself and on my microsd card. My Qtek 8500 with the original 8500 rom did not have this problem. Any ideas?

Hi there !

I’ve bought a Dopod S300 - same like HTC STRK - And I have to say that is an amazing phone. I have just one hint to share with you guys: I was very worried about protecting the screen and mainly the external screen of any scratch so I bought at EBay a set of 5 x DuraSec ClearTec screen protector i-mate Smartflip. It comes with 5 sets of 3 pieces - 1 for the big screen, 1 for the camera and one for the external screen. After applied you can’t barely notice it - it’s amazing how transparent they are. They only have to make some little adjustments on the external display screen protection size.

By the way I don´t sell it biggrin.gif

Wow nice. I bought the Martinfields protector. It comes with protectors for the external and internal screens only. Are the screen protectors static cling or adhesive?

For the record I downloaded smartphonenotes2 and phatnotes

I couldn't get smartphonenotes2 to sync. I could lode the app, but for some reason the separate sync app would not stay loaded. Has anyone be able to use smartphonenotes2 to work on their qtek 8500?

On the bright side phatnotes is loaded and working well smile.gif It syncs perfectly with my outlook notes

Smartphonenotes2 is working fine on my computer. When you talk about "separate sync app", are you referring to the activesync addon? If anything, email the company. They were really prompt in answering any questions I had.

I ordered a Martin Field's SP5m protector for my US Tmobile SDA, but it does not fit perfectly. I thought the US Tmobile SDA was virtually identical to sp5m except for the hump? Anyone else have this problem?

I dont see the point in wasting time and money with crappy unreliable companies to try and protect the screen of something that will be more use as a door stop than a phone/pda in twelve month time.

Make the most of the product you got, throw it at your mate when your pissed, and put the money you saved on screen protectors towards a new one when its broke.

I bought the fellowes generic PDA screen protectors at bestbuy for $15. It comes with 12 sheets. Since the sheets are big, you can get 4 screen protectors from one sheet. Plus since it's generic, they have lines that make it a lot easier to cut the sheets down to the appropriate size.

I have a Krussell premium case, used it for about a month. I like the case but I don't like how much dust that gets between the plastic of the case and the screen. Very annoying. So I'm going to go with the silicon and use the carry case that came with my 5600. And I think the Krussell is a little spendy for what it is.

Same here. I'm using the Krusell Vertical Pouch. There's actually a cheap bodyglove pouch that fits the SMT5600 pretty well at any Cingular store for $8.99, but it doesn't have the bottom open for usb/handsfree.

A lesser known improvement of WM2003SE for Smartphones is the addition of QVGA support. Since this phone is coming out pretty soon, I'd imagine it would be still WM2003SE.

Great skin, I think I've finally found a keeper. I like how you devote 2 lines to appointments; important for me. Also the font is a good size and the time is at the top, rather than some odd place like some skins.

Same with many other UK supplier. I was told within 7 days. MobileFun is the cheapest I've found so far for UK supplier.

If you've seen it cheaper elsewhere in UK, post it here. smile.gif

For the screen protector, I just bought a cheap pair of fellowes screen protectors for a sony PDA (or any PDA for that matter) and cut it down to size. While there will be bubbling, you can smooth it out and now it looks great. I can rub the screen off with my finger and not smudge it up since the protector is on. I paid less than $10 for a pack of 15. A lot cheaper than the specific ones mentioned in the thread.

I've noticed with my Krusell case that it blocks the headset jack slightly. This causes trouble as my 2.5mm adapter can't stay still while im listening to music and walking. Does anyone else have this problem or maybe my case is a little defective?

Even though its connected to the phone I have to push it in to get full stereo sound. Unfortunately when I am walking it gets lose so I lose stereo output. Is this normal or perhaps my phone's headset connector isnt up to par?

Silly me, my phone is a Audiovox SMT5600. I ordered it from the SPV section of PC-Mobile.net. I've tried two different headphones already and they have the same problem. Do I need a third party program like Betaplayer or PocketMVP to get this stereo output working? Last time I installed betaplayer, it messed up my mp3 associations and I was unable to play mp3 ringers so I want to avoid this.

Hi, I ordered the 2.5mm to 3.5mm stereo adapter from PC-Mobile and it still only plays in one headphone ear. I am playing it through windows media player. Does this matter or do I need a thirdparty mp3 player?
