I got fed up with the fequent unrequested reboots so went for and upgraded to the latest QTEK rom. Not only have the reboots stopped, but the phone is much more responsive. Well worth giving a go in my opinion. smile.gif

Where can I find the ETEN dial pad?

Thanks...

I think I found a link to it on htzwizard.com in the apps section

On the default today screen, my right hand button shortcut is set to contacts. Since yesterday (when I was doing a bit of space tidying on my Vario!), this function seems to have gone. When I click on the word or press the button it tells me that the shortcut doesnt exist!

I can access it via other contact items, it looks as if the shortcut used by the Today screen has gone sad.gif

Anyone know what I might have deleted?

Cheers,
Neil

Hi,

I am trying to connect my Rikaline GPS to my Vario. This unit works fine with my IPAQ and SPV C550.

I have paired the devices and am able to input a blank passcode (which is the default) to sucessfully pair the two. I then add a new outgoing com port and add it to the Rikaline device.

The problem starts when I point TomTom at the com port. I then get a message saying that the Rikaline wants to connect to my unit and prompts me for the passcode again. At this point, I can't enter a blank passcode sad.gif The "next" button is greyed out until I type something and if I try another code the connection gets totally removed!

Any ideas on how I can either pair it properly so the 2nd passcode is not requested or get it to accept a blank passcode in the dialog box the 2nd time round?

Cheers,
Neil

Hi,

I've only had this phone for a day or two so just wanted to tap into the fountain of knowledge and ask about changing the dial pad graphics for my T-Mobile Vario.

I have read about nicer dial pads such as the ETEN dial pad which looks great but seem to lose T9 functionality. Is anyone with a Vario using a "new" dial pad that looks good and has T9?

Also, if I have to stick to the original one, is there a way of making the caller photos larger on screen. I used to have a full screen contact app on my SPV C550.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

Can anyone who has the M600 for review at the moment comment on its performance? I just wondered if the 200Mhz CPU performed acceptably. Anyone tried playing wmv or divx on it?
Cheers

looked good, but when I switched back to another layout I seem to have lost the shutdown/startup screen and titles in information windows! Is there any way to reset these to default?

I read slashdot every day but get really fed up with all the idiots there that just want to bash anything to do with Microsoft. :x
The site just seems to have gotten full of people who want to bitch about windows and praise linux. ( I use Xp, its great. I also use linux for work, its great but why do people feel I have to be in one camp or the other?)

The article they link to seems pretty good and comprehensive. It complains about call quality and dropping which I have never had issues with so I would imagine is it to do with his carrier.
Unfortunately someone reading the very anti comments on slashdot would be put off taking the leap to getting a smartphone which would be a shame. I love the SPV and had the choice between it and a 7650. I`m glad I made this choice and dont miss the Nokia at all! laugh.gif

Spacemonkey,
I`m really looking forward to trying this, thanks for your great efforts.
Are you still thinking of sorting out MAME for the SPV sometime? Are plans for your RPG still moving on or has the Speccy Emulator dominated everything?

Not complaining mate, just interested as couldnt see any updated info for these 2 projects on your site.

The effects in the Freeway scene were absolutely brilliant, especially the bike stuff. I suppose I`m just a bit bored of the fighting (dont like Kung Fu movies so maybe thats it). I just felt that with Mr Smith developing his powers and this talk about agents being upgraded, the action could have changed.
The first movie was all about the freedom and speed of movement in the Matrix (and how to use it!), the second was purely, "well the fighting went down well in the first, lets do it with more people!". What was supposed to replace the WOW of seeing "Bullet Time" in action for the first time?
Even the twins (who I thought were good) fought hand to hand. Surely there are other ways to show Neo overcoming the agents?
I rewatched the matrix on the evening before I saw reloaded. Maybe it wouldnt have been quite such a let down if my memories of the first film hadnt been so fresh in my mind.

As Brody said, "each to their own". It would be a boring world if we all had the same opinions and tastes!

you lot sound to have enjoyed the film, to be honest I was really disappointed.
I love the original as it is so different and full of ideas. Reloaded just seemed to be full of what I found to be boring and long winded "slow mo" kung fu like fights which we knew Neo would win.
Whats this with him him flying like Superman? The love story with Trinity is starting to get really boring.
Finding and using the Keymaker just took too long and seemed to be a padded weak storyline.
I wasnt too disappointed when it came to the abrupt end. Shame cos I was really looking forward to it.
