you are only charged by the data sent/received. being connected but not actually doing anything won't cost you. |

this wasn't a delay issue as sometimes the rotation would be instant, and other times there would just be a huge lag, it would just depend on what you were doing at the time... |

yes, I didn't really get on with it. there was a significant delay in the rotation from when turning the device sometimes. meant you started typing a message and then suddenly the rotation and keyboard would switch on you! think this is a diamond issue not the software though. |

It rotates the screen in Opera and the Image browser, but that's all natively I believe. You can download a tweak that will auto rotate the screen in pretty much every app. except TF3D |

I just sent mine back to orange today. just couldn't get on with it. poor battery and the on screen keyboard were the main issues for me. keyboard might be fine for some people, but I've learnt I need a hardware keyboard! |

Not sure who been telling you august??? as there are a LOAD sat in banbury going through checks, they have passed this batch but are going to monitor battery issues VERY closely. Maybe customer services wont get any and leave them all to us in retail!! Stocks should be replenished later this week Perhaps they'll issue some battery advice involving "switching off 3g" like Apple did! |

Amazon have it - do they not ship to Norway? Failing that you could always buy it 'used' via Amazon and find a seller that will ship to you. |

I love CP7, very good software. I also bought the 2Yr Traffic deal which has saved me numerous times. Set to Auto it will download traffic info and seamlessly divert you round anything it finds on your route. Over Christmas and Early Jan it literally saved me hours when I was travelling on the M25 several times. |

holding the device flat does seem to keep the screen on, but I don't think its a ligh sensor - just having the phone upright causes the screen to go blank. |

yes - I am having this problem with collecting voicemails aswell. 1 to select new messages, then 2 or 3 to save or delete, all requiring me to press the power key to get the screen visible again! there must be a way round this. |

that makes sense. so there is the danger that if a GPS capable program doesn't close correctly, the GPS could remain on without you knowing it sucking battery.... |

So, got my diamond, only had it for a couple of days, in general I'm pretty happy, some of the input stuff is a bit buggy, for instance if I type >don't< it gives me >'dont<. yes this bugged the heck out of me. you have to either confirm 'don' as a word before adding the ' or write 'don' with predictive switched on and it will offer 'don't' which you can select at the top. Biggest issue so far is the internal GPS. When I run it, either google maps of tomtom7 it just eats battery and the phone gets very hot. One worry was yesterday, after running google maps with GPS, I exited google and ignored the phone for a while... checked later, most of the battery was gone and it was very hot... I think it had left the GPS switched on... Anyone else played with the GPS much? I can't actually find a setting for switching GPS on/off?? When I loaded TT7 it immediately found the a GPS signal and told me where I was so I assumed it was either already on or TT7 had activated it by itself. I don't know where to go to force it 'off' tho? |

The one I got from Orange last week definitely had Live Messenger on it - but, as pointed out above, there is a theory that Orange rushed some unbranded ones out the door to be first in the market and that the ROM build might change down the line. not sure how much I buy into that but we'll see. |

I'd like a case that had a window so you could see caller id etc. Then it could sit in the case with a bluetooth headset with no danger of it getting scratched. |

its annoying that you seem to be able to go through the entire process if you're a new customer - i got as far as signing up and it was still happy. online upgrades are 'currently unavailable' - at least for me. |

Just phoned 150 to upgrade and as expected they don't have it. She also said I have to wait a few weeks before it becomes available on upgrade I might head in to the city later to see what they say. I can't wait another couple of weeks now! It's just teasing me! Let me know if you find anything, I'm in London on Thursday and could do the upgrade before going to the cricket.. |

Well Orange would have sent out their initial batch to the top 30 or 100 stores (as mentioned above). So those stores will know they're about and be able to sell them. All the others will not know when they're arriving until they get the delivery, due to the fact they'll only be sent out once they get a new delivery at the central warehouse. No different to any poplar new handset tbh maybe. i've never rang CS and found them to have less information than the stores though, especially on a phone that has actually shipped. and Fegan's local store doesn't sound like it's in the top 30-100 in the country! |
