I know at my work we have to have a secure certificate installed before it will sync with our Exchange server. Nobody told me that for over a week, and it was driving me nuts, until someone happened to mention the certificate.....

orange tried to pull that crap on me a few years ago when i got my first "smartphone" But it was only after I had recieved my policy documents that they tried to back out and tell me I wasn't covered and would have to pay more. Fortunately I managed to get out of paying extra.

AFAIK it only works when you have the phone plugged into the mains or powered off the USb cable.

Hi guys.

I recently flashed my M600 to the Dopod Rom. But now I can't find the Mac Address of my wifi connection. Does anyone know where to find it? I checked under network cards (where I'm sure it was with the orange rom) but it's not there.

Cheers.

Looks like this is only for pocket pc at the moment, but - http://www.birdiesync.com/home.html

Edit:

QUOTE
Version 1.1.0.3 (beta)

It is recommended to install this new version to avoid potential "unresolved items" during event synchronization, especially regarding recurring events.

You can download this new version: BirdieSyncSetup1.1.0.3.exe.

Uninstall previous version (on device and on desktop) before installing this new one.

Since we are close to the final release, please provide feedbacks, whether you have any problems with event synchronization or it works fine.
Thank you.

Changes:

- Smartphone 2003 support
- Smartphone 5.0 support
- Check at installation that mobile security policy is compatible with BirdieSync
- New install logs

Bug corrections:

- Recurring appointments with a modified occurence could lead to "unresolved items"

Yes it works. I have a couple of albums in m4a format, and WMP10 on my M600 plays them perfectly, including all tags etc.

ordered my upgrade thursday afternoon still no phone, what service do orange use for delivering phones and what days do the deliver

They use ParcelLine - who I will never ever accept as a courier again. I ordered my upgrade on Wednesday, was told I would have it on Thursday between 9am and 5:30pm to I asked it to be delivered to my work. As of 5:45 still no phone, so I contaqcted Orange who said that according to the couriers tracking service it was still on the truck for delivery. I went home (was getting picked up) and was pretty fuming.

Went into work the next day, and the receptionist handd me my package (at 8:15am). I asked her when they had come - and she said "I don't know - It was lying on my desk when I got in at 8am"
THEY HAD JUST DUMPED IT IN AN UNMANNED RECPETION AREA OF A VERY BUSY UNIVERSITY

Just as well it was still htere. I dont even know if anyone signed for it......

But I have now got my M600 and been filling it up with Apps biggrin.gif Awesome.

I'll probably be buying one of these. Krusell cases are by far the best I have ever used.

Got the blighter yesterday biggrin.gif Can you believe i was like a kid waiting for his new bird to call wub.gif I kept checking with our security people to make sure they had my details and that i'm expecting a delivery, i even went as far as to check the delivery address with orange!

Anyway it's here and laugh.gif laugh.gif it's swish, really swish. Gotta get used to it, i must say that the only things that are a bit of a pain is making a call from the phone book and txting.

The vynil pouch has gone straight in the bin and the dummy SD card will come in useful when i next play poker or tiddly winks.

Krusell seem to make a nice case for it.... http://www.krusell.se/product.php?productID=2164&category=16
Will be purchasing one of these no doubt. Best cases I have ever bought. Had them for my last 4 phones.

Hi. I am new to the SPV arena and I am looking t get a car cradle for the SPV550c.. I have seen a few around but wondered if i could modify a nokia handsfree.. I had a Nokia 660 and the simple handsfree works ok. I use tomtom and would like to out put the sound to a speaker. Previously had a cigarette lighter socket adapter for the nokia and this fits the spv but no sound..

Can anyone help.??

Cheers

you need a 3 or 4 pole 2.5mm jack (3 pole for sound out and 4 pole for sound mic input). Working in the way from the tip.....Tip is LEft, ring 1 is right, ring 3 is mic, and screen is the ground. I Bought a camcorder cable from CPC (2.5mm jack to 3 phonos) for about £3.00. Works a treat wink.gif

Hey there, got my C550 last week, and I am enjoying its improvements over the E200, but last night I installed a few homescreens, which probably weren't designed for the C550, but they look OK. I dont often use Outlook anymore (Due to using Thunderbird as my email client) But occasionally put in appointments in the calendar to sync with my phone. I did this today, but now it doesn't sync at all. Activesync sees the phone, and starts, but t never actually does anything, but the green arrows rotate and thats about it.

I'm using Activesync 3.8

Anyone got any ideas?

Another quick question. Anyway of making Activesync work with Sunbird?

Hmm...My Orange contract is up at the end of this month. I was rather tempted by the SE K750i, but the imminent release of the C550 is making me think again.......Anyone reckon over theC500 and K750i which I should go for - or wait for something else? I'm currently on an SPV E200 which has been cool, but is a bit dated now.
