Did anyone every find a solution for this ... I am desparate for the same funcitonality. Guys - Shoot me for being stupid - but I do have a lot of searching into this so decided to ask the pro's. I was a former BB user (heavy) spent a ton of time now with WM6/PPC and now grabbed a VOX with Smartphone WM6. I am BEYOND DESPERATE for an option here that will allow autotext/autocorrect/autocomplete without having it be more painful than typing the word all together. With WM6/PPC I finally figured out how to do it with the autocorrect.txt file and a few apps out there (or manually) --- WM6 Smartphone is clearly different in this regard. What I am after is stuff like this... Typing .. BB (space) = Blackberry thxm (space) = Thanks Much! reg = Regards - Chris... u = you r = are Enough of these coupled together makes typing a breeze and am toast without it. So I know this T9 is part of the Smartphone package and read there were ways to Edit it but not sure that still works or there is a way around it. Folks - I am quite desperate, love this VOX, but let me know if you may offer me some options/suggestions/hacks that I may be able to use to accomplish this. My sincere and desperare thanks -- Chris |

@stephen I suppose you should contact Samsung UK... @Samuel if your PC/notebook can't recognize the device (as in my case) i think you'll not able to use both the software Spoke to Samsung today .... and it would appear that the rumours are true and that no -one including Samsung know how to perform hard reset !! They also confirmed they would not be able to flash update the ROM to UK version for me .... GREAT !!! Any help from anyone Really gratefully received .... |

I know the problem because i had the same problem. I mailed to samsung Italy and UK and both told me there is no hardware combination of buttons to hard reset the device and i gave my device to the Assistance. Then i retired the 780 three days ago and now it's working. But this is strange because every Pocket PC has got buttons combination and i asked to the Assistance in which way they resolved my problem and they just told me "software upgrade..." I thought, if they can why we can't hard reset the I780 ? At the end i'm sure there is a buttons combination or a little "trick"... on the contrary Samsung Assistance changed with my device with another one. I asked for this combination in my italian forum and in others international forum but, at the moment, it remains a mistery.... What is Samsung Assistance? If I bought mine from Italy and I am now in the UK can I use it? Also SOMEONE MUST HAVE A DECENT ROM THAT WORKS AND COULD BE UPLOADED |

I use 'followup' flags with reminders all the time in Outlook for contacts so I know when to call etc. Two questions; 1) I can't seem to find any software that allows me to show those contacts with flags on my XDA Orbit / HTC Artemis and set flags 2) Reminder alarms for flags don't seem to even appear on the Pocket PC? Anyone know of any solution ..... other than setting tasks instead of followup? |

For those of you interested in the Samsung i320 with qwerty keyboard - this seems to be available from: Samsung i320 from Pixmania. Priced at £309 inc VAT. Even Expansys does not show this device as available yet so this is the place to buy!! BE CAREFUL - JUST GOT MINE THIS MORNING AND DESPITE WEBSITE SHOWING QWERTY KEYBOARD THE ONE THAT ARRIVED WAS AZERTY. They are looking into it - but I have a feeling they don't actually have the UK spec. Maybe back to Expansys? |

I have had my MPX 220 for a while now and love it. However, when I had the C500 and other bluetooth phones I used to be able to place a call from Outlook contacts using the phone without having to input the number. On the MPX 220 it dials but it seems to be a data call rather than a voice call so can not speak. Anyone know how to do this? cheers |

I had a problem with Voda Sim..... after many calls and emails to Vodafone technical .... it would appear that the last four digits of the SIM card refer to the SIM card hardware version and it would appear that G266 is not compatible - got them to change the SIM card for a different hardware version and it works perfectly now. Many thanks to Keith Bloomer of Expansys and his patience in assisting me in this matter. |
