I normally type in dutch while the phone is in english. It has the habbit of inserting ' and 'll after words they are surely not supposed to be in dutch! smile.gif

I don't think so, since the resolution used by the camera to capture the image is different from the one used by your smartphone screen you will always have to resize it somehow.

It's not even the same aspect ratio so you will have to cut parts off too.

PM sent from another C500 user  :D

I've just managed to convert the quicktime .mov trailers to play on Betaplayer and I have so far got Spongebob squarepants, Garfield and Hellboy on my SD card  :D/ Hmmm I now need to find some good websites to get all those new film releases  :?

Do you need the full movies or just the trailers?

Here is a nice trailer site: http://www.comingsoon.net/

Final point

Play the pc game. Doesnt sound like u ever played dopewars before!!!

I have played the PC version, but not much, so you're right about point 3. I knew it was random but i didnt knew it was the same as the pc version.
But point 1 i think you dont realy understand. It is like this: I go to a location and the message says cheap ecstacy, then i DO NOT jet to another location but go directly to the drug screen (so i did not change market) and there is no ecstacy to buy.

Hey thx for this game, it is realy great!

I have a few things to think about for the next version:
- Sometimes the message window tells me that there is cheap ecstacy because of a pharmacy robbery and then i go to the drug screen and there is no ecstacy to buy.
- Whenever i start a new game, while halfway the current game, the message window isnt cleared so text from the previous game is still on it with non-consistant information.
- i find it quite annoying when i start a new game and right after choosing the start location the cops are chasing me already. ofcourse i just stand still because i do not have any drugs yet, but still this is weird.

I'm not sure why the backlight is dimming.  I added code which works on the Pocket PC and keeps the device from suspending by pressing a "fake" keypress every few seconds.  Apparently your phone needs to detect the real thing.  Which phone are you using?  I will need to research more about this.  On my MPx200 my technique seems to work fine.
Using Orange SPV E200 , dunno if you still want to run the research after telling us that you cancel the project. sad.gif

The reasons I need to put this project on hold have to do with the companies I am working with and am about to work with.  I can't go into more details and I can't leave working copies lying around.

To bad you have to cancel project for the moment, I was realy looking forward to it sad.gif
Do you have any idea when you might continue the project again?

De-Gexte,you might have delete the saved-file and switch the "auto save/load" on,that simply cause the black screen issue.
So bitbank,is it a known bug?

Dunno exactly what you mean but i've tried to fix the blackscreen problem this way :
- deleted all savegames i had
- turned the auto save/load option off
- played a game that didnt work before (title A) (worked smile.gif )
- turned the auto safe/load option on
- played the same game again (title A) ( worked smile.gif )
- played another game (title cool.gif ( didnt work sad.gif )
- turned auto save/load option off
- played same game again (title cool.gif ( worked smile.gif )

conclusion : auto save/load connot be turned on when you want to start a game that doesnt have a savegame.

Hope bitbank can fix this. smile.gif

Does it turns off completely? if not that's good right half lit means half the drain?

No it doesn't turn off completely, it just dims.
You're right about half lit means half drain but it also means half sight. smile.gif And i find it quite annoying when first the backlight dims because i haven't pressed a button for 10 secs and then turns on again when i press a button, and after a while dims again.

If there are different opinions about this then i think another option in the optionscreen will be a good idea. Something like this :
* keep backlight at full lit
o enable backlight dim
o enable backlight turn off

Oh and an option to change the sound volume would be nice too. Because the earpiece volume buttons dont seem to work while playing a game. Also could you make this volume control earpiece independent. (sorry dunno how to say in correct english sad.gif ). I mean like pocketTV does. The program got a volume control of itself. The earpiece volume doesnt get changed when you change the volume of the program.

good luck bitbank

long story and its a bit complicated  for now id try not to mention roms on this site biggrin.gif

Oki i will stop it now smile.gif no hard feelings

@bitbank It seems that only the GBC games that have a saved game in the "SAVED_GAMES" folder do start oke. All the other GBC games start and then turn to black screen on my phone. anybody else having this problem ?
Ohw and another thing : The backlight dims, even with the "keep backlight on (in play)" option turned on.

you mean the screen doesn't turn off? or the backlight has different levels?

i think the screen won't turn off completly because i constantly call a function which prevents the homescreen to auto return. if it would return the audio would stutter for a while (or maybe when the screen turns off, i'am not sure anymore).

I'll explain my situation.
I want to use my phone as a portable mp3 player. I use Beta player for this and then press the "home" button to show the homescreen. Then i hold the red button to lock the keypad and put the phone into my pocket. Now i would like the screen to completely turn off cuz i wont be looking at it anymore while betaplayer is playing audio.

If you don't want the screen to turn off completely by default, plz make it an options so i can switch it on.

much appreciated
