i belive that with the sim unlocking (if you did it with software) that it has you change the radio, you need to flash a new radio to it.

the program should run in the backgroud wile powered off (with the screen off not the unit) so just set it back up the way you had it before your upgrade.
Also under the power settings is the timer for when to turn off the device if on battery power check that setting.

there should be a little app with the phone called Internet Sharing.

if not then you can get a ZIP file over @ XDA-developers.com

but when you start Internet Sharing just select Bluetooth PAN then connection you want to use, then from your PC connect to the Bluetooth PAN on your phone. you will receive an Ip address from the phone and then be able to surf, there should be no need to dial a connection anymore.

well i dont know why you would want to do that but you can use some remote control software and use a shut down program to turn it off otherwise i think you are asking to much

shutdown program (free) http://www.pocketgear.com/en_US/html/displ...?id=prod6672666

I believe you need to be asking this question in the VOX forums http://www.modaco.com/category/302/htc-vox-vox-modaco-com/ as this is for the kaiser and we have a touch screen and built in GPS, so setting up and external GPS is different.

the one i like to use is the free one from micrsoft that allows you to remote control your ppc from your desktop and therefor you can do a screen capture direct from windows and edit the pic and upload it.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/archive/w...s.mspx?mfr=true

you might have to go to active sync in the "Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\Remote Display Control" and manualy install the ceremote.sa1100.CAB to make the program appear on your device.

Why not just lock the phone before you put it away in your pocket? it locks all the keys except the power button, the only problem that i could see happening is that if the phone rings it still has the chance to answer the call wile locked, but you will nvr send any text messages nor call any1 by accident.

I've got password/PIN number setup, if I get a txt/voice message and I choose to ignored it, it won't unlock unless I manually unlock it by dialling my PIN number. smile.gif

im sorry this has nothing to do with the problem but it irritates me to no end when people say PIN number, or ATM machine. PIN is an acronym for Personal Identification Number, so you don't need to say number twice.

Sorry didn't mean to be the grammar police tongue.gif

Of course, nobody intends to drop their phone and normally I take great care not to damage my TyTN II - but there is taking the over-protectiveness a bit far, don't you think?

...make sure you've lined the inside of your cargo pant pockets with cotton wool and bubble wrap, won't you? wink.gif As I see it now anyway, my phone has "character".

OMG how did you guess i thought i would be considered a freak if i posted i did that too LOL. no but for real i dont think i went a bit far when trying to protect my $400 investment. its not like i have to go to a specialty store to buy my pants, and they have cargo shorts as well (there all jeans and when i need to wear dress pants i dont get cargo dress pants lol). im sure that if you have a laptop you bought a case for it for when you travel so it doesnt get borked so i really dont see a differance.

G4 refers to a model number for unlocking purposes not connection speed. The Wizard is only capable of a maximum of Edge connection speed.

Have tried Googleland and downloaded Resco but its version 7 and won't work with my Windows 5 smartphone. Is there another version that will work with T-Mobile MDA Vario running Windows Mobile 5 and how do I obtain it.

Thanks

that is because both apps can not connect to the same comm port at the same time

to get around this you need to get Franson GPSGate http://franson.com/gpsgate/purchase.asp?li...;platform=winxp to do this.
