Any further news on the Tytn II on Three? I'd like to get one, but preferably not on a business tarriff. Is that possible? If not, how much will I be up for on a 12 month contract with a few hundred minutes and a decent data allowance? The website doesn't really specify that, you need to ask them to contact you I think. The Tytn II is out on Three. On the Website it is Business only. But try asking in a Three High Street shop they'll more than likely bend the rules a bit to get the sale. |

I so get the Redfly. As a IT Manager for a largish company I'm deploying XDA Stellars to our sales force. We're pushing them out not just for email but we're also developing a custom front end to our SAP ERP system with live stock checking and order processing. This is the same app that our warehouse people have for order dispatching. With the Redfly we don't need to give our Sales people a lightweight laptop but can give them a less mobile desktop replacement laptop which makes usage that much easier. We only need to develop one app and we give our sales force the option of using it on a small portable unit or a larger Redfly screen. I'm looking forward to getting a Redfly as it'll be a complete success for us. |

Three really have been going great guns to get more customers at the moment. My main phone is a N95 on Three but my secondary phone is a Tytn II (Ebay'd Vario actually) with a 3 Mobile Broadband sim in it. When running WMWifiRouter you won't find a better mobile WLAN AP. Speed is as good as any ADSL Router and with 1GB a month usage it's a real knockout solution. It's nice to see Three finally getting a WM solution and when upgrade time comes around I'll be happy to stay with them. |

Can you tell us what email address it'll be coming from? Like a lot of people my inbox gets a ton and a half of spam every day. We could then whitelist the address it comes from. I've got the email from Admin option enabled but just want to be certain that I don't miss it. |

I'm with T-Mobile and my 18 month contract is up in 2 months. I was planning on switching to O2 who've got excellent coverage in my area. Orange coverage is okay but T-Mobile and Vodafone suck for coverage. But I love the Flex T tariffs and WnW. Now trying to decide if I should switch to Orange or O2. It'll most likely end up with O2 and hope that O2 bring out a flat data rate. |

Still not updated. It's not on the FTP server either I love Opera on WM it's the only browser I use. On the desktop I hate it but on a mobile platform it's excellent. |

As far as I know the only PAYG network which will work for Full GPRS is Orange. I've used one for several months when between contracts on my Wizard. You could try Bluetooth pairing it with your other phone and using that as a dial up modem. No idea if it would work. |

It's nice to see I-Mate changing direction (if it was forced by HTC or not). Having said that most of them look to big for my pockets. I'd be interested in the Mini- Laptop device as a second unit but not as a main device. |

I've used my Slingbox and my Mac Book Pro linked to a 32" LG TFT TV to display. But the picture became quite pixelated. There is currently no way to link to a Slingbox using a Media Streaming device. You might be interested in this which does what you ask but it's not released yet. |

I've found how to do this. You need to use a registry editor to edit the following entries to customize it. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\TrayApplet Under that key there are number of sub keys labelled (on my device) 0 3 4 5 6 7 8 Each one then has a entry called LaunchApPath ResPath For a blank icon each needs to have a entry called BlankIcon I'm still experimenting with the entries but thus far I've been unable to add anything that's on the Storage Card as a new entry. I've successfully replaced the Explorer icon with Resco Explorer. But that's it so far. I'll see if renaming the TrayAP.exe works to disable it. EDIT: Rename the TrayAP.exe to TrayAP2.exe disabled it. I'm now using Ilauncher as a replacement (as it's easier to decide what goes where in the tray) |

Has anybody got a recommendation of a GPS enabled Car kit? My Mazda 6 has a serious lack of power sockets (only 1) and I keep forgeting to turn on or charge my Nokia headset. Plus my Headset only supports one phone and I use about three different phones (not at the same time). So I figured it's about time to get a proper car kit. I like the look of the Parrot's but don't know which to get. And I figured that if I had a hard wired GPS receiver then I wouldn't need to fag lighter for the GPS so I can leave my K-Jam plugged into that instead. O and somewhere to get one fitted if possible |

I've been playing with Twonkey and UPNP. The only program I can get to work properly as a UPNP player is Nero Showtime Mobile. But it does work really well. The only problem I've had so far is streaming videos and speed. But I have a collection of 25k MP3 files and Twonky works very well do this. |

I see the Web N Walk option on my Relax 200 minutes (1/2 Line Rental for 18 Months from CPW!!!) too. I'm going to add it and see what happens. Hopefully it'll be unlimited but would be good if it's 40MB. I can turn on Push Email again |

I had some success doing this using Edna on my W2k Server http://edna.sourceforge.net/ It needs python on the desktop/server and a MP3 player that can handle Playlists properly as Media Player doesn't work but TCPMP does. |

Now I haven't tried this but I think the final instruction should be kick off a vpn connection between ppc and pc. The logic being when activesync spots a connect in the 169.x.x.x range it will try and create a connection to it. With no dhcp server on either network connection both vpn connections will us this range. I'll try it later on. |

Works very well on my K-Jam. When I had my X50v using this (previous release) I even managed to get a CF Card to work as a boot device for a PC. Love this app makes loading MP3's and Videos on to a SD Card so much quicker. |

QUOTE(Pondrew @ Nov 6 2005, 18:25) Glad you're liking the Wizard. Very impressive piece of equipment and SO compact and phone-like (I'm actually not sure I want my Pocket PC Phone to have a screen that small but that's just me). I thought the same until I brought my K-Jam. It really is the dogs B's. Can't get over how handy it is over my c500. The keyboard is really cool. 8) |

QUOTE(sibeer @ Oct 24 2005, 07:37) Thanks carphead, I thought it was installed but it mustn't have been. Now that I have put 5.1 on it gives COM 6 as an option in TomTom. I can now find new and interesting routes to and from work every day ! No problem. Have fun using TT to get lost and send you down one way streets the wrong way |

Pair the two of them (the Wizard and the GPS). Then got to the third tab (Com Ports), Click "New Outgoing Port) and select the GPS in the Add a Device window. Press the right soft key and select the defaults and right soft key again. Make a note of the Com port you've created. It's normally COM6. Start TT and use that com port. |
