Hi All

Just wondering where's the cheapest place to buy the enhanced touch atm, needs to be on the web as im in Ireland.

Expansys have it for 400 eur but for a bit more I could get the diamond so I dont wanna pay that much. Dont see many of them on ebay, just touch duals.

TIA if anyone can help!

gr

i know you said that you have to buy via the net... but get a ferry over to england and head to an orange shop.. they sell the white and black versions for 150pounds.. i got a white one and unlocked it... sweet !

Thats exactly whats happening... after a few days of Expansys going a little slow on communications, a very helpful manager has arranged to collect the faulty item, credit my account and order me an imate.

Did you know that they have sold out of the 1400 8500's they had on Tuesday? One customer in Hong Kong had all the remaining stock.

look out for them on the 'bay coming soon then !

nice find with the imate version paul..

as for flashing my phone to wm6... the main reason I would do it is for the inclusion of windows live messenger, as pocket msn seems to be a bit unstable.. luckily, earlier today I found a cab file for windows live which I installed on my wm5 qtek 8500... and it worked great.

So if you are thinking of flashing to wm6 just for windows live, message me and I will gladly send on the cab file to you..

I had a spare minute so I just called 'em to find out and was told they're selling them at a loss anyway so no discount. It was worth a call though to find out.
I've now just got to stop myself from hitting that 'Add to Basket' button.

thanks dude...

im so pleased with this phone... im thinking of getting another one as a spare....

Oh, I'm so tempted by this, it'd be a nice small alternative to carrying my PPC around. Though I might try flashing wm6 onto my SPVC500 (which I still really like) first.

im really pleased with it... runs really smoothly.

so wha does that tell you.

I thinking about COD4 as soooo many people are raving about it but Gears will not be knocked off until.......................Gears 2 lol

it tells me that the wii and ps3 were not for you, but that doesnt mean it isnt for someone else... i love my 360, i play it pretty much every day (to my wife's dismay wink.gif ) but im really impressed with the ps3 too, im really enjoying it (especially seeing as i didnt know i was getting one for xmas - it was a complete suprise ) .. i like the fact i now have plenty of choice..... if a games comes out which is exclusive to one system, it wont be a problem for me wink.gif

granted the wii is fairly limited, its no fun on your own, but when my mates come over the wii really comes into its own... but i can see why people would get bored of it quickly... although when nintendo get around to the wii 2 (if there will be such a thing) then lets hope it had the power to match the other systems and they get the 'online' thing right too.. that would make it a pretty awesome system to have.... i just cant bring myself to sell my wii though, not with mario kart coming in the spring ... hooo yah tongue.gif

Ye i had seen you just randomly playing (in my opinion) very rubbish games....but hey it makes you feared within the Xbox community

halo 3, call of duty 2,3,4 , timeshift, gears of war, battlefield 2 modern combat, PGR3 and 4, perfect dark, bioshock, the darkness, test drive unlimited, medal of honour airborne, shadowrun, crackdown, transformers, the orange box, virtua tennis 3, top spin tennis 2, rockstar table tennis....

yup all very Rubbish...

and before you say anything about avatar... my 6 year old nephew loves playing it when he comes over.

maybe i should get a wrestling game (ahem cough cough).... or maybe rubbish like blacksite, kane and lynch, hour of victory or maybe the teenage turtles or fight night (really easy to get 1000 pts on these two) point being, i may like getting points, but i dont go out of my way to buy rubbish games just for points.... 1000 on call of duty 4 is a fine example as is my rank on battlefield 2 (cant wait for battlefield bad company)

Look for some of the utility applications (like SpB Pocket Plus or SK Menu) which have shortcuts to a 'Screen Off' function. You can assign this to a hardware button, or menu item to quickly kill the screen altogether.

luckily i had already installed spb pocket plus, i did what you said and assigned a hardware button to turn screen off, and it works, wifi stays on with the screen off... thanks for your help...

with any luck someone will come up with a registry fix for this in the future for people who dont have pocket plus. smile.gif

That seems to be how the new versions of WM5 (and WM6) all work- from AKU 3.0 onwards.

I don't know why this is- the timeout now puts the backlight into minimum illumination, rather than off altogether.

thanks for the response, i guess i will have to learn to live with it, trouble is, i use wifi at work and use it to connect to messenger all day, but in order to save battery i wanna turn the light off, the only way to do this is to hit the standby button, but by hitting the standby button it shuts off wifi... hmm what a dilemna

HI,
Just purchased a shiny new SPV M700 yesterday, i have had an M500 and M600 so I'm pretty familiar this type of PPC... but i have struck a problem with it... i have tried all the settings to do with backlight options, but cannot seem to get the light to turn off

With it set to turn off after ten seconds, it hits ten seconds and just dims slightly then stays dim unless i press the standby button to turn the screen off completely... is this supposed to happen? or am i going mad.

i have installed a few progs on it... virtual pool, agile messenger, msn messenger, mini golf 3, imate backgammon, worms world party... but i doubt these could cause it??

please help... maybe there is something i can change in the registry?

thanks in advance

Just wondering if anyone's found any drawing apps that can use a photo as a starting point? It would be quite handy to take a snap and then sketch a few notes etc onto it.

Any ideas?
