QUOTE(eaglesrest @ Oct 24 2006, 08:28) *
I'm not sure if I fully understand the question but if your asking if it will work with the BMW BT then probably not. I have this phone with a 2004 X5 and out of the box it pairs, but the phonebook doesn't transfer and SMS don't work. The BT profiling is handled by WM5 and the issue lies with AKU2.

However, it's not all bad news. www.jetwaremobile.com have an application that when installed (latest beta version) supports my BMW fully i.e. PB transfer, SMS and call handling. Apparently the Voice Dialling works as well but I haven't got that on my BT.

hi guys,

We tried the TyTN in my bosses 2006 E60 (5 Series). It paired fully, and copied over contacts. Calls made and recieved were clear!

The other option to early BMW bluetooth users is to have your ULF module upgraded to the latest version..however you will have to pay for it.

the only question i have is:

shall i get this phone as a replacement for my vario??

i like the look of the phone, however it is missing wifi....
my only real worrys:
the TV reception/quality is bad
ROM updates will be few and far between

I just called in to the local virgin store...so far they havent sold a single lobster sad.gif
he said it is a good phone, and that the TV side of things works well, however he wouldnt want to watch a 2hr film on it.

so, shall i go for it??

hello,

you could replace the speaker, here is a link to the Wizard service manual...it shows how to take the phone apart and remove the speakers.

http://buzzdev.net/components/com_simplebo...vice_Manual.pdf

you could try maplins for a replacement speaker.

QUOTE(28z3 @ Sep 20 2006, 17:18) *
Help please guys,

My bosses have just bought 3 Wizards after I told them how great they are.... But they got them through Movistar and they are branded Grundig´s!!! And they´´re in Spanish...

How can I get a UK Rom on it? Tried a KJam ROm and it failed with an NBR error as the Rom was too old, rom details on it are...

Rom 2.22.5.2ESN
Date 4/21/06
Radio 02.19.11
Protocol 4.1.13.09
Ext Rom 2.22.5.102

Any help muchly appreciated!!!!!

to get a UK rom on there, you will need to downgrade to a v1 rom..then CID and SIM unlock it. Then you can load whatever ROM takes your fancy...

have a read of the xda-developer.com forums for the wizard smile.gif

Well the o2 Plus software bundle comes with a signal meter.
I would give it you but I'm sorry because I don't know if it is consider illegal or not, because I was passed on to me from a co-worker. Its online, just do a google search.

I think it is available to o2 customers...so if you are one, you can download it from:
http://www.wormholecreations.com.au/wc/meg...s=1&start=1

if not...please do not use the above link wink.gif

Why don't the headset buttons work for dialing or basically anything else than accepting a call?
It's crazy, the ones the phone comes with don't either as best as I can see, which means I have to get me hand down me pocket any time I want to use my fabulous functioners (ooer!).

Hi,

The MOTO HT820 B/Tooth Stereo Headset does have a voice dialling function which i have set to use MS Voice Command, it works great!
They can also fastforward/rewind/skip tracks smile.gif
