I am trying to install a ROM on my Orange branded SPV E200 but keep getting error 117 which is telling me that the phone won't accept another vendor ROM.
I am told there is a program that overcomes this, but I cannot find it. If I try and search this forum, I always get a blank page!
could anyone PLEASE gove me a link to the program.

Thanks,

Mike

I have installed tomtom 5 on my E200. Now when I power off, the phone just hanfs in the orange sunset screen. If I do a clear memory and reset everything it powers down correctly.

Anyone else had this issue or the smartphone backlight staying on when exiting TomTom?

I am just about to replace my SPV E200 with an ASUS P505 and have about 300 contacts on the phone. I would like to know if there is a way to copy all the contacts to the sim card so I can just put the sim in my new phone (the ASUS has a sim manager to allow them to then be placed as contacts again.)

Syncing to a PC will not be an option as I will not have a PC with me when I upgrade & would like the contacts available.

Any suggestions?

I have an SPV E200 which I am going to sell.
I need to clear down the calendar before I sell it but do not want to reset the whole phone as I have tons of software installed on it.

Anyone know how to clear the calendar?

I have an SPV E200 and am with KPN in the Netherlands. GPRS works fine, I can pick up my email, go on the internet etc.

Recently, I have started travelling and of course roaming allows my phone to use other networks (over the weekend I was in the UK and my phone told me I was on O2.

However, I couldn't get my GPRS to connect so couldn't check my emails.

Is this normal or are there some settings for 'roaming GPRS' I can look at?

Going back to my previous post, I have resigned myself to re-installing all the software again.

Does anyone know of an application to format an SD card. I am away from my home PC for a while & do not know how to do this from the E200, we have no card readers in my office.

Thanks,

Mike

Help me please!!!!!!!!

I have spent days installing software/movies & files to my 512MB SD card and all was well, it worked a treat.

However, today I wanted to copy a few movie files to the card and decided to move them through the integrated card reader in my PC rather than through activesync.

This seemed to work so I put the SD card in my E200 and now......it's blank.

If I put it back in my PC, windows (XP SP2), tells me from the properties that it has over 200MB used disk space, but when I explore it there is nothing there.

I really don't want to install everything again (and I can't remember half of what was on there), has anyone else ever had this happen and is there a cure?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi there,
I have my trusty E200 and am with KPN in the Netherlands.
I did some travelling over Christmas (Belgium & France) and wanted to pick up my email, but don't know how to use GPRS outside of my standard carrier.
Is there any way of doing this?
I'm sure there must be as I can get a signal & switch between service providers but need to get into GPRS (I won't always know which carrier I'm on)

Hi there,

I have just tried to run a program on my E200 (gone in 50 seconds or something) and the screen froze (1st time ever). I tied to turn the unit off & on and it just hangs in the 'windows mobile' boot screen.

I even removed the battery & the same happens.

How can I 'reset' the device without losing all the software I have installed?

Hi there,

I have just purchased (through Ebay) an SPV E200 and am generally pleased with it.
I unlocked it through the imia-changes.co.uk site and that worked a treat!

However, I have various questions/issues that I hope you can help with.

I decided firstly to upgrade the rom as I read reports of better battery life (it is pretty poor isn't it), I upgraded to the latest rom from the orange site and installed it.

I now went into the phone to 'play' with it for the first time and cannot find anywhere to deal with emails. If I go into inbox, I can select activesync, MMS or SMS but not email (I want to set up some pop accounts).

Also, the phone came with an orange soft keyboard, but I cannot find the application to allow it to work on the phone - where can I get it from?

The '4' key sticks - but I have seen posts on this and will try to fix it myself.

Lastly, there are many posts regarding 'best rom' - can any be installed and how do you know what the differences are or which to use?

I hope someone can help!!!

Many thanks

Mike
