from Touch Flo when i open phone section and select from previous phone call list and wanted to change say from MOBILE to HOME number it will move non stop for seconds before it stops for me to select. What is the solution?

If you go to the phone application and use the 'finger dial' to move up and down the highlighted selection on the list you can then use the left/right buttons to change between home/mobile etc

There are no printed instructions. The instructions are in a pdf file on one of the CDs, which are in the lid of the box that your phone came with.

Ho ho, I've had my Diamond for 3 weeks now- box was even in the attic- and didn't know about these CDs. I thought it was a bit lame on the instruction side of things! biggrin.gif

Afraid its the Network Providers that are the problem here. They CAN track stolen phones- the police use it for "life at risk" situations eg. missing persons or Serious crime (subject to RIPA/RIPSA regs). It does however cost a fortune. The CSP (Communication Service Providers ie Networks) charge the Police for this service depending on how quickly they want it. Charges vary from about £100 to £500. So can it be done?-yeah easily. Is it cost effective?- probably not.
The CSPs are verging on negligent in the way they write off equipment. Its not hard for them to cut mobile phone crime but there is a distinct lack of will- afterall a stolen phone = a new sale. Similiar to cars in the 90s- so easy to steal until immobilisers came in following consumer pressure, now virtually impossible without a true key. Consumer pressure is the only ay things are going to change so start chapping those emails out!

Don't why this suddenly stopped working for me on XP SP2- either it was when I upgraded to WM6 or following a Windows update patch. It was a great program which hopefullly can be fixed

I'm trying to find a way of transferring files on my digital camera's memory cards on to my PDA without using a PC. (eg when on holiday) Does anyone have knowledge of a standalone card reader which can either bluetooth the files to my PDA or send it to the mini USB port of my Hermes/m3100?

Update- Sent the new screen back to China because of the digitizer problem and cut my losses by taking up an offer with Orange to have phone replace for £100 and take up Orange Care plan.

I failed!

Have you tried running the screen alignment program from settings->Syste->Screen?

Failing that, try just holding it 2" further down? lol

Good luck.

Aye, very good laugh.gif - Now have a half 1 cm writing area!

Did try the system->screen option but it cycles indefinitely too. There must be a numerical system variable for the settings somewhere but where.............................................?

Thanks to the wisdom of members in this forum (and others) I felt able to attempt the replacement of my broken m3100 LCD screen. Bought a new screen off ebay for £23 (same part no.) and managed to to put everything back together without having anything left over. Restarted the phone and the screen works perfectly. Hooray! biggrin.gif

The digitizer is however way off and the stylus draws about 2 inches above where it actually is on the screen. Boo! mad.gif

After a hard re boot I returned to the windows welcome screen but can't get past the screen alignment cycle- it just repeats. huh.gif

I have taken the phone apart again, cleaned it and even managed to boot up without the screen being in the casing and same problem existed (ie the case isn't interfering with the screen). I did remove the welcome.lnk file to skip the screen align page but it doesn't really solve the underlying calibration problem.

Running out of ideas as to how to recalibrate the digitizer and about to be barred from Google for overuse of their search engine!..... Any thoughts?

I then called myself from my other mobile left another message, listened to it, deleted it and waited again still the icon is there. I even rebooted the phone please help I can't get rid of the stupid icon thing. mad.gif

One other problem I am having this regards my C500 I have a phantom sms I have followed all your suggestions but its still there anyone have any new ideas.

Thanks

Have you spoken to your phone company? I had this problem before with the c500 and Orange reset it for me. They advised me in future not to disconnect from voicemail after deleting until the symbol had disappeared on the handset.

For anyone signing up, note that your expected to have at least 20mb data allowance in your plan. Can't justify that personally.

Hello,

This is my first Home screen. So be kind.

I made this to resemble my PPC layout and color scheme, simple and black. I don't need a flashlight to light my face or car at night or get that bright pocket at the club. lol

You will need the Facade homescreen plugin availble in beta here:
http://www.sbsh.net/

The links row will need to be edited to fit your machine.

Thanks,

I have a c500 with Orange, I have 2 lines on the SIM card, one for work, one for me.
Does anybody know if there exists a piece of software that will tell me which line an entry in the call history log refers to?
Also interested to know if anyone has designed a home screen that gives a different ring screen depending on which line is ringing.

Strange, I don't have this problem with my c500. When it's keypad is locked I can answer by pressing the Green receive button. Have you thought about selecting the "any key answer" check box in the phone settings menu? That might do the biz.

QUOTE(gantcliff @ Nov 14 2005, 13:57)
Hi all,

A have a C500 as a company phone, and the way the company network functions is that once you answer a call you have to press the * key before you can talk to the person calling.  Unfortunately, if the C500 is locked when you answer a call, you have to unlock it first using the normal softkey # combo, then press * before you can speak.  This means I miss calls on a regular basis when my fingers aren't quick enough.....

If I could make the phone so that the keys unlocked after you answer a call it would make life a lot easier.  I've had a look at a few key-lock manager programs around, but can't seem to find one that does the job.

Any thoughts?  :?:

I've just spoken to an Orangey person on the phone re problems with my C500. She advises that the phone has a 12 month guarantee anyway- 6 months covered by Orange and 6 months by the manufacturer as per Sale of Goods Act. Seeing as the Theft and loss clauses are so tight I'm now going to cancel my Orange Care £60- not worth it.

I'd use GPRS more if it were cheaper but as a casual user can't see me ever using 100MB especially as the connection can be slow and intermittent. Furthermore, the SPV e200 screen really ain't big enough to be a great browser window and that piddily little that joystick does my nut in!

Wouldn't change my network from Orange-
a) they're good
cool.gif they upgrade my phone every year
c) they seem to be the market leaders in integrated systems and that gets my consumer loyalty

Does anyone know if there is a way of dimming the backlight of the SPV e200, It's really bright and a bit distracting when driving at night.

As for the background colour on the Program menu screens. How do I change it?
