OK I am looking into some new phones,and I have some questions

I like the Ms phones for saving movies and customization so

Can you save movies to this phone? And if so what is the best software to use to convert the DVD to the phone?

Can you customize this like the C500? or does it support full customization for homescreens? IF so what is a good tool to use for the customization and where is some cool sites to pick up homescreens?

I assume you can have MP# ringtones, but can you assign different ringtones to each user? If so wher are some good mp3 sites? I used to use WinMX but they charge now.

Over all I am using this for mainly work/fun is this a good reception phone, I loose a lot of calls on my sony ericsson.

I think that is about it...please help out, I would love this phone if it holds movies and also supports customization like the c500 did.

Could some one explain why you call them birds?? Here in the United states and from general knowledge birds are dirty creatures...so just curious as the origin of this phrase... :?:

Since I do not have a Mpx I am not sure....This was done in Homescreen designer and should be fine...did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the file? Gtet the same problem? Did you try any of the others?? let me know or post a general question in General discussion section.

I don't think there is a way to edit the carrier line... I think you are stuck with that..or just get Homescreen designer and take the entire thing off...

It is strange...I can't see where the hold up would be...can someone ummm copywrite a plug in or animation? Or perhaps they got a HUGH offer to sell it outright to some major company... I know the peps at madbeetle read this maybe someone could make a squeak.....

I am not sure about the animated themes, it seems a little to advanced for simple screen designers, Plus all the deal about getting the animation signed and stuff, I was really surprised to see so little done from the madbeetle side of things. After all most people don't stare at the screens to really enjoy animations. Cool as it is I am not sure it will catch on in these early phases. Now what would be cool is to take a clip from a movie and use that for the homescreen....!!!! With the wide array of themes out there I think it would have to be something better then what we have seen to really grab hold.

does this mean there is a problem and we should remove it from the phones? Or is this a legal issue? Anyone?>???

Does anyone know why madbeetle took off it's animated themese section? It seems that the program is not available either....from their site....anyone know what happened???

Fellow 5600 lovers,

I love my Audiovox smt5600 but really was fed up with the dust behind the screen problem, so I took it apart and fixed it. I wanted to post the info on how I did this.

SMT 5600 Disassembly:

Tools needed:
(1) Small straight screwdriver (like for eyeglasses) or small torx head, but I could not find one small enough so the small straight screwdriver will work for removing the torx screws, just try till you find one that fits.

(2) Small Phillips screwdriver

(3) Eyeglass cleaner wipes (to clean the screen)

Step 1:
Switch off and remove the back cover, battery SIM and memory card.

Step 2:
Remove the top-back of the phone. First remove the rubber external antenna stopper and then using your fingers and a small screwdriver CAREFULLY pry the top part of the back housing off.


Step 3:
Remove the 6 Torx head screws as shown and remove then remove the back half of the phone. You will need to carefully pry it apart.


Step 4:
Remove the small Phillips screw in the middle of the board



Step 5:
Fold open the phone as shown and using the eyeglass wipes clean the dust off the LCD and the inside of the display



Step 6:
Reverse the step and re-assemble the phone.


I hope this helps, the dust can be cleaned and it is not that hard. I was able to do this in about 10min. with no problems, I do not take any responsibility for any damage you may do to your phone, and provide this as information only.

during the off season I will complete the entire NFL line up..sorta took a break for a while but will get back on this in a few weeks.

In homes screen Designer the system files give you and option to restore..just select that...that shoudl put you back at the default system screens.
