When you are in agenda view in the MS Calendar app I dont like the way it defaults to adding an appointment an hour long. Is there any way, perhaps in the registry, that you could change the default length of this time. I am sure other calendar apps can do it but I have never got on with them as I like the simplicity of the MS calendar for my purposes. I would be grateful if anyone knows if you can do this. |

Does anyone know if you can change the standard reminder tones on a Tytn. I use my PPC to organise my life and have moved from a Smartphone where you can select very loud tones to go off when you set a reminder for a diary entry. On the Tytn I can choose from a selection of very quiet bleeps and bongs and laughingly for a business phone I can even choose a dog barking! None of which are suitable of loud enough. On the smartphone I found you could get your own tone and upload it to a place in local settings ( I cant remeber the exact location) and then you could select that as an alarm/reminder. That was great. On the Tytn I have uploaded various types of sound files to various locations but they never show up in the list of Reminder tones to select from. I have even tried replacing the standard tones with mine. i.e. calling my file dogbark.whatever but that didnt work because the reminder tones are in the rom seemingly. Please does anyone know how I can use my own tone for an alarm or get a wider choice to select from. |

My battery life on my Mteor is pathetic. I recently bought a Samsung I320 and sent that back for the same reason. I have had loads of HTC phones and am deeply dissapointed about this one. I have got my old SP5 out of my cupboard but I need to send that back for a sticky joytick so now I am back to an SP3i with a cracked screen. Cheers for that HTC! Seriously I love windows phones but I doubt Nokia or Ericsson would make phones that are quite so unreliable. I wont be changing to those brands but I hope the windows manufacturers start making more robust and reliable phones soon. |

Mine worked great. Thanks for posting this. I spent hours trying different registry editors that had worked for my Imate SP5 then had the bright idea of searching on google and found this post. Reged32 worked and i followed the other instrcutions and now I can install my stuff. Thanks for your help. |

Yes I have got it working Create a gprs caleld whatever you like connection using the settings Connects to: The Internet Access Point: internet Username: web Password: web Leave the rest rest blank then create another gprs connection called MMS Connects to: secure wap network Access Point: wap.vodafone.co.uk Username: wap Password wap Leave the rest blank. Then oopen the mms program and choose menu/options/account options/mms then select menu and then mmsc settings Make a new connection called whatever you like or edit the one that is there Name: MMS MMSC URL: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms Wap Gateway: 212.183.137.12 Port: 9201 Connect Via: Secure Wap Network Then change wap version to 1.2. ***My phone would not send at all until I did this and then bingo, I had tried all sorts but realised on my old Imate SP5 that it was set to this and sure enough it worked. Not sure what is wrong with this apart from 100k limit on picture sizes. I would like to change this so if anyone can tell me how then please post it on here.*** This is all I did and both my internet and my MMS now work fine. The only thing I have missed out is the swearing of which there was a lot! |
