The tengu (which means goblin in Japanese) like Oni (Oni means devil or demon in Japanese, kitusne (fox spirits), tanuki (badger spirits) lived and some Japanese still believe live in the mountains of Japan. They are born from eggs a few times larger than an osterige egg in nests found in the aromatic trees called cryptomeria (which for centuries the Japanese have used to make incense with.). In their last incarnation they were priests or very arrogant samurai. Sometimes spirits that died unjustly and wish to seek vengeance or justice. They have lived in the mountains for as long as the Japanese can remember.

mwahahaha!

sorry everyone who fell for the / you trick. I was getting a bit bored by the fact that most topics these days seem to stay rigidly on-topic. makes MoDaCo a much less entertaining place so I just thought I'd stick a cat amongst the pigeons :)

Don't tell him but /you has been targeted next!

Tube, Tony Tube...
