SPV Original - Newbie questions?

Hey guys,

I have been using Smartphones for a while (Mio 8380) and I know mine very well. I got an original SPV from a member here and received it today. Working great.

But I have some questions regarding issues I have on the phone.

Here we go:

1. On the contacts I can see records from probably his old SIM (the phone now has my wife's phone SIM on it and this SIM has NO CONTACTS on it). Somehow the phone kept these records from the old SIM (probably the previous owner). I cannot delete at all. How do I get rid of these??

2. I am thinking about doing a hard reset. How I do that on the original SPV? And what will happen with the SIM Unlock and App Unlock (the phone is unlocked for both)? Will it lock something after a hard reset?

I guess that is all for now. :-)

Thanks in advance for helping an SPV newbie.

To do a hard reset just click on the words "hard reset" in your post......

This should also delete all the old contacts that are on there

After hard reset it will be app locked but the SIM unlock should stay

To app unlock again just click this word -->OTA<--...

Beware, you lose all data when hard resetting. you can back some data up using Sprite Backup if needs be :)

The issue is I am not in UK (I am in Canada) and of course I cannot unlock the phone OTA. Is there a way to app unlock using the phone connected to a PC for example?

Thanks,

You can still unlock the phone OTA by using the phones Passthrough connection so that it uses your PC's internet connection to unlock rather

than GPRS.
