Ok, i was bored so i wrote an app that just runs the wav in the background then exits!
The wav gets played from either Storage card/Programs Files/Startup/Start.wav or Storage/Programs Files/Startup/Start.wav depending on where you select to install to
This makes it easy to replace so you can just change the wav
Will be updated with vibrate soon!
p.p. This will mean that the startup sound IS VERY good quality, better than if you use the registery
p.p.s. This is set up with a car starting as a default wav!
Just put cab on phone and run, it will automatically put the exe in Startup ;-)

UPDATE: If you want to install to phone download the phone version and select phone, for sd download SD version and select Storage Card!
UPDATE: you can now select SD or phone in the installer, its easier
UPDATE: cab and exe installer with Vibrate now uploaded!

sorry mate but it dont work. just rebooted and i get a ding sound. Am i doing something wrong?
