Guest Vector
I think you can delete them if you don't have the programs installed anymore?
Guest great
nope thats not true as i said on my post, i don't have them installed anymore but folders are still there empty
Guest Toyota-F1.com
They hardly take up any space as you might have noticed using Smart Explorer, just leave them there, and use them as memories for your ex-applications. :)
Guest Disco Stu
I delete mine using ActiveSync :)
Guest great
I delete mine using ActiveSync :) how? what do you mean using activesync?
Guest blewer
how? what do you mean using activesync? Connect your SPV to active sync and then click explore. Find the appmgr folder and delete anything you don't want Easy :)
Guest Disco Stu
Thanks Blewer :) I have no idea why, but files / folders that you can't delete with Smart Explorer can be got rid of when exploring the phone using the ActiveSync window. Guest great
i'm sorry it didn't work. I have tried these before i start the post but it didn't work. I've used both smartexplorer and explore from windows/active sync but again i cannot delete folders from old applications. Its a qtec 8080 and not an SPV. now i'm more curious about this than before... any more ideas ?
Guest Disco Stu
You may need a QTek expert here, but what about renaming them, rebooting and then deleting them ? Don't have an explanation for this but have read it elsewhere on this forum

Guest Toyota-F1.com
Does it even take up much memory?
Guest great
its bytes per folder but if these are stuck there and you cannot delete them then eventually you will end up with some KB. Whats more obvious than to install and unistall applications and test them on your mobile
Guest nato
I have experienced this on my original SPV. Wot I did was : 1. Stop all applications and processes except system ones from running on the phone. You can do this via SP task manager. 2. Connect using activesync. 3. Delete folder using Activesync 4. If that doesn't work try looking at processes and taks list.I think there must have been an executable in the startup folder on my handset that prevented the folder being deleted. Hope it helps.! Guest Disco Stu
It might be worth doing a hard reset but it's worrying that none of the previous methods managed to shift them. There must be a reason for it. :?

There must be a reason for it. :? Hard reset is an extreme method that i would like to avoid. And even if i do a reset it still after a period of time i would end up with the same amount of folders
Guest Toyota-F1.com
I thought I'd give it a go and I connected my SPV3 to activeSync, Explore and I am able to delete the files in that folder. SURELY, if you have an Orange SPV E200, ActiveSync 3.7.1, just as I do, you MUST be able to delete them (press delete on the keyboard - that's what I did). :?
