Guest Tankerkid Posted June 17, 2004 Report Share Posted June 17, 2004 Hi, I just got my E100 of ebay a few days ago, and today, the bloody screen has burnt out. i can still call out, but the screen is dead with a black band running along it. i want to know if anyone knows how much this will cost to either replace, or repair myself. Guest squall Posted June 17, 2004 Report Share Posted June 17, 2004 Sounds like screen wont fix itself :D Have you contacted the ebay seller? they will prob say no warranty but worth a shot. Orange wont help im afraid so the screen would need repaired. Best option for this is to get a damaged phone with a working screen. You can pick them up for say £20 - £25. Unfortunately the screen is the most common part to break so screens are in high demand, and the only retailer i know of charge £70 for them. Guest akersj Posted August 2, 2004 Report Share Posted August 2, 2004 hey, this is my first post so hope its in the right place !! i have an spv but the screen was covered in the trademark thumbprint black smudges plus crack. got the screen apart and it reveals a small piece of plastic [polarised i presume by the fine grid lines across it]. the actual screen underneath works beautifully, just this small piece of plastic causing the problem! any ideas if (or where) i could get hold of a replacement? edit: are there any other devices that i could salvage this bit off?Picture 003.jpg Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
