You can browse in FULLSCREEN and by pressing of Softkey 1 (note this has changed in the new version) you will display the toolbar. Things i plan to do: *Cleaner, this function will assist pie in making the page better viewable on the phone. *Favorites, these will just be the same ones as you see in pie *predictive addresses, No need to type an adres over and over again this will feature a predefined (editable) list that (in example) will let you visit http://www.google.com by only typing google. *Search toolbar, fast searching with a easy toolbar (this will support more then just google, but also altavista etc :D) *Gprs counter *Download manager (be able to download zip files again) *Speed up loading time (this is hard since the speed tweaking is changed everytime i mess with the gui :S) *And more (suggestions are always welcome) [ Fixed and added in V 0.1 !!!BETA!!!] *Added History (previous/next page). *Toolbar navigation bug *Tooltip not hidding when page was loaded BUT toolbar was shown. *Fixed bug in scrolling titlebar *Added 2 options (javascript and fit to page options) *Several button/gui bugs :P *Quick address bug fixed, though you can't edit it from the program yet you can open up fastaddress.ini and then add some to it from there *Changed exe name to smart browser.exe THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR THE SHORTCUTS PEOPLE :D *LOADS AND LOADS MORE [ Known bugs in V 0.1 !!!BETA!!!] *When you press backspace while on a textbox you will be brought back to the homescreen *Fit to screen might not always work *just adding a address seems to crash the browser (not when typing a full or a predifined address) *dunno more YET [ Fixed and added in V 0.040 Alpha ] *The program can now run without installing the CAB file *Toolbar is now a bit smaller (might change again later) *Instead of Softkey 2 you now have to press Softkey 1 (i am trying to make a new function for softkey 2 :lol:) *Error with Quick address so it's disabled for now (is this a bug or a fix then :D).. *Scrolling Page title, the problem of not beeing able to see the title of a page is over :D. the text scrolls in the titlebar now. *Fixed the not showing up problem (for good now (i hope)) *Nice splash screen showing you it's loading not juts blanking out :( *A better looking intro page. Later on i will create a special function which is going to resize a site even better then Pie does (with more diffrences). but i will test it once i get my gprs up again :S but it does work right? Nothing ever actually displays but I can't delete the image, so it's in memory but it's not moving. Guest ultimasnake Posted July 22, 2004 Report Share Posted July 22, 2004 so the cab installed correctly.. i am sure you don't need to hard reset your phone anyway.. layet might have done it and it fixed it for him, i just hardreseted my phone to test if I can run it on a "not yet for development used" phone since as soon as i run it in debug mode it will install all the needed items :P........ So do you see the loading icon? and after that there is nothing.... if you click the exe file again does it show up then? Looks quite nice, but it was very slow compared to PIE. A very good start tho fella! Keep up the good work, it would be great to have an alternative to IE. Guest markgamber Posted July 22, 2004 Report Share Posted July 22, 2004 I started it with the phone explorer after which the "wait" icon spins for a while and the explorer closes, leaving the start menu with the wait icon spinning a little longer. Then the icon goes away leaving just the start menu displayed and attempting to start the app again does nothing, no wait icon or anything. Attempting to delete the app, however, fails so some part of it is in memory but it's not listed by xbar or the Mitac task manager so it's not actually displaying anything. "Error explorer 1.exe MissingMethodException frmmain::Main+0x0" After this I can delete the executable so it's not getting hung in memory anymore. What phone did you say you have? and it worked before.. very odd...... :S well it's 7:26 am at the moment of typing.. and i will be home around 1 pm...
