Always on Internet connection on i600

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to keep the internet connection on after the flip is closed?

I was running agilemessanger and its working fine as long as i don't close the flip. as soon as i close it, internet connection disconnects and i have to reconnect.

I use to have a smartphone on T-mobile (mitac 8390) and was able to keep GPRS connection even after closing the flip.
