Guest jonallwright Posted August 17, 2004 Report Share Posted August 17, 2004 Yes, I went into Orange at Friargate, Preston and have upgraded for free to a C500. :) It is currently on charge but having played with the one in the shop all i can say is its fab and knocks spots of the nokia 6600 i was looking at. Its Free on any upgrade or new conection on a line rental of £25 or more. I was out of contract, it expired on 18 July and I've been waiting ever since for this phone to arrive. The guy at the store said any new contract over £25 it is free as is any out of contract upgrade, don't know for in-contract. Or a totally new connection with a new number (useless for me!) I'm out of contract now, it expired in July - just been waiting for the right phone to come along, and itching to get onto my money saving tariff (my bills are near to £35 at the moment with all the texting at 12p a pop). Just called Retentions, they got an email at 9.25 saying "c500 out of stock", and she said it'll be next week before they get any more. She also gave me a list of about a dozen phones that are "out of stock". Useless! I've been waiting for about 6 weeks for the phone I want to be in stock (was initially the K700, now the c500). Shame you can't just go into an Orange Store and get the same deal there. I hate the uk mobile phone industry red tape "we're a separate department no can do blah blah" b***ocks!
